If you hear a humming while trying to summon a spirit what does that mean?
This is not a thing. It’s probably very quiet and you can hear your blood singing in your ears. Blood makes noise.

An inner sound is part of several types of meditation. It could have nothing to with the demon. It could be that you are just in a really profound state of mind.

I’d suggest the following progression: Start with spiritual hygiene first and foremost. You will be raising energy, and attracting interest, and not all of that is helpful, so know how to
- ground using the Earth (also called Earthing)
- clear your space and self of imbalanced energy (a nice salt bath or shower is good), and smudging is easy
- banish unwanted entities gatecrashing your party
Next look into developing your astral senses and recognizing and getting rid of persistent impostors and parasites.
