The Miracle Of New Avatar Power, revisited

That perennial favourite grimoire keeps coming up on this board.

We’ve all come across that grimoire at some point or another, or have met someone who recommended it. I first heard about it from Brother Moloch back in the days when copies of it would go for hundreds of dollars on eBay. It’s just not hard to find out what’s in the book if you don’t have it, all you have to do is look around.

With that said, Lady Eva’s somewhat controversial post on the grimoire left a lot of people wondering if the manual still had value in 2019 and beyond.

My take on it is YES. The manual still has a ton of power, and you can still use NAP.

What i’ve found with it is that you’re going to want to modify the rituals to get them kicking for you.

I’m not the only one who takes this line of thinking on NAP. Brother Butterball from the now-defunct Evocation Magicks board would often hotrod his own NAP rituals by doing convocations (calling mutiple spirits) instead of evocations, and BB wrote his own conjurations from scratch.

After seeing the results BB got doing NAP in that form, i began doing the same thing, using Aleister Crowley’s Liber 777 to match up the keyscales and lay out the cosmologies. When i first got on BALG in 2014, i wrote a thread pulling the different key scales together from Thelemapedia, to make the connections more apparent.

Upon further study, i realized that the NAP is itself a cut-down version of the now-legendary Black Brick by Israel Regardie, or its Blue Brick counterpart by Aleister Crowley. The online version of the Bricks is Quareia, for those of you who are interested.

It’s a very powerful grammar.

Maybe using NAP straight out of the book has depleted it of power, or the spirits in it that have been called one time to many (cough cough ELUBATEL) would prefer to be called in other ways. Or maybe there are other spirits that want to be called using the grammar, but nobody has taken the time to put the info together properly.

For example,

• You can do astrological magick with NAP.

• You can do decans magick with NAP (in the grammar, both Shemhamphorash and Ars Goetia work with the decans).

• You can do Heptarchic magick or Qlipothic pathworking with NAP.

• You can do Elemental magick with NAP.

• You can DEFINITELY do Enochian with NAP. Enochian works very well with the system.

• You can do Natural Magick and Sorcery with NAP.

• Even though Crowley was a bit of a culture vulture and the correspondences are kinda wonky, you can do Greek and Roman magick with NAP as well as Egyptian magick (i’m not 100% sold on the Hindu, Buddhist, or Taoist connections, though, because i know Eastern magick uses a completely different system of astrology than the Hellenist system NAP is built on).

There are quite a few things you can do with NAP if you work it carefully. You just have to be creative with it.

With some careful thinking, you can take NAP and make it completely unique to you. You just have to study a bit to understand Kabbalism, and carefully apply the knowledge to your situation.

This thread is similar to, but different from, my old NAP thread, which is still ongoing because i’m constantly working with NAP (i’m doing a long-term ritual with it now, actually).

I’m putting this thread here with some ideas on how you may be able to use NAP in different ways some of you may not have considered. From time to time i’ll drop in with different ideas i have on putting ritual together with the system. Drop by if you want to give your own NAP work a kick in the pants and take it in a different direction, or you just want a different take on how to work the tech.

Ok, let me give you something to work with right now: the NAP Induction.

Upon carefully examining the NAP Ritual, i realized it’s a hypnotic induction that takes you into a light (hypnoid) trancestate. The format of the induction is built on the Progressive Relaxation Induction, which was popular in the mid-20th century. Since then, every professional hypnotist i’ve dealt with has confessed to me that the PR Induction is the LEAST effective way to induce trance, and there are far better and faster ways to do the same thing.

The NAP Ritual is also done to call ARZEL (ARZL in Enochian), which is one of the 3 Kerubic Angel Companions in the air of Air subangle. The proper way to call ARZL in Enochian is to call his superiors first, and work your way from the top down.

Finally, this type of ceremonial magick is carefully calibrated to use. Meaning, when you want to do a ritual for something related to Air element, you call on the Air spirits. When your need is for something related to Fire, you’re better off to call a Fire spirit. And so on and so forth.

So i’ve rewritten the NAP ritual, based on a different hypnotic induction, in a way that calls ALL FOUR Enochian Kerubic Angel companions in a top-down fashion.

This i feel is a more potent way of doing the opening NAP ritual, and in a way, calling spirits from each element of the Great Table acts almost as a form of calling the Quarters, so this ritual becomes a sort of standin for the LBRP or Enochian Watchtowers.

If you’re interested in doing this, tape record yourself reading each line, and leave a pause between each line long enough to repeat the line in your head. In that way you say each line twice, once out loud, the second time internally as you inhale and prepare to say the next line.

My format for this NAP modification is:

• The Sid Flowers Induction, for eye closure
• Barry Thain’s Passing Through The Zero deepener
• The NAP conjuration
• Enochian Calls and Conjurations of the 4 Quarters of the Great Table
• A cut-down version of the Betty Erickson Induction (1 VAK object perceived)

Record that as a powered-up NAP ritual, play it back as you recite it in your magick circle, and see if there’s a difference in how you connect to ARZL, etc.

The Sid Flowers induction is extra long to guarantee you go into trance. Some people are stubborn,but i’m a Capricorn and i DEMAND you go into trance when i write hypnotic scripts. I don’t leave a thing to chance - you’re going under whether you want to or not. If hypnotic skill doesn’t put you under, you will go under out of sheer fucking BOREDOM. But you will go under. And that’s where the magick begins.

Try that.

From there, do the old fashioned NAP Ritual, calling whichever one of the Elemental forces you require (Adop in the South as a Fire element, Detaya in the West as a Water element, or Aboz in the North as an Earth element), depending on what you want to do NAP for.

This keys your ritual to the element for more ritual accuracy. For example, if you conjure for love or internal subconscious work, use Detaya. For money or manifestation, Aboz. Revenge or strength, call Adop. Knowledge or communication, Arzel. This allows the elements to do their work in their sphere.

Or you have the option of calling all 4 of them. Your choice - see what works best for you.

Btw - you have the option of working directly with these spirits, too. Calling them and them alone also constitutes an entire NAP ritual. They’re not just a means to an end, they have powers in and of themselves.

Here are some examples of how to use the Miracle of New Avatar Power with Liber 777:

In chapter 2, Geoff gave an Incantation for Winning Contests on page 50 in the old book. He set this incantation to call the genius Labezerin, from the Nuctameron, by Apollonius of Tyana, which is reprinted in an appendix in Eliphas Levi’s book Transcendental Magick.

The conjuration Geoff gave is as follows: ‘I call thee, powerful Labezerin who has the power to bring good fortune to those who demand. I require thee to be my mentor and to be by my side and guide me to success as i select the chances in the contest i shall enter. Know thou genius that this is my stated desire. I command thee to fulfill my will and i seal this command by saying SCHEMA AMATHIA, which Joshua called and the sun stayed its course. So mote it be.’

When working through Liber 777, i keymapped Labezerin as key scale 16 in column CLXXIII, which is in Table V. Key scale 16 is the constellation Taurus. As i wrote in my old NAP thread,

• key scale 2 connects to key scale 16 (for astrological magick),
• key scale 7 connects to key scale 14 (for planetary magick), and
• key scale 10 connects to key scale 32bis (for elemental magick).
  That sounds like gibberish, but it gives me 3 ways to rock the NAP ritual, using different spirits than Geoff used. When i explain below, you’ll understand better what i meant all those years ago.

To do astrological magick, i’d go about doing this:
Ideally, i’d want to use Musk incense to fumigate my magick chamber.
My magickal weapon for this would be my penis. I’d want to put my hand on my penis and vibrate the magickal formula VIAOV (column XLI and CLXXXVII in Table I).
That sets up the chamber, but isn’t necessary.

Anyway, after doing the NAP induction and other preparations, any of the following conjurations would fit into the system. They’re all alternates to the NAP conjurations already in the book, and i took them all straight out of Liber 777.

Astrological magick: I wrote this conjuration, based on the angels in columns CXLII and CXLIII in Table V, and columns VI and VII in Table I:
'Angel Toel in Shar, hear and obey my command. Angel Araziel in Taurus, hear and obey my command
I command you Toel and Araziel to organize the seven genii Sisera, Torvatus, Nitibus, Hizarbin, Sachluph, Baglis, and Laberzerin. Sisera, Torvatus, Nitibus, Hizarbin, Sachluph, Baglis, and Laberzerin, you seven genii will (command). Do this by the power of IHHV, that revolution of the Divine Name IHVH. I command you to manifest my desires through the Triumph of deep Indigo. Let it be, now and forevermore.’

Astrological magick with Geomancy: i wrote this using column XLIX in Table I, and column CLXXVII in Table VI:

777 outlines 12 assistant angels of the 12 zodiac signs, with 24 lords of the decanates (12 of the night and 12 of the day), which oversee the 36 angels of the decanates as well as the 72 Ars Goetia demons (36 of the day, and 36 of the night). When you look these angels up, you realize they are FALLEN Angels. In 777, Crowley outlined a system where the 72 djinni now become 144.

I haven’t seen anyone work this fallen angel + demon system anywhere else, or even mention its existence. It amazes me that these spirits are so roundly ignored when they’re given so plainly.

You find these spirits named and described in Liber 777, columns CXXXIX up to CLI (the 72 Fallen angels) and CLV up to CLXVI (the 72 Ars Goetia djinni) in Table V.

Feel free to use this information when conjuring with the NAP.

As far as the Shemhamphorash is concerned, those 72 djinni are keyed to the Tarot card’s minor arcana, in pairs. You find the Shemhamphorash in columns CXXIX up to CXXXII, in Table IV.

I found it interesting that Shemhamphorash was keyed differently than the zodiac decanates in 777. Croley aligned them with Tarot, but they can also be used with the decanates, i figure.

This decanate system gives you 72 angels, 72 fallen angels, and 72 djinni (a total of 216 spirits). I’m kind of shocked nobody has written about these spirits yet. Many mages have used the Shemhamphorash with Goetia inthe past; now there are 72 more spirits to add to the mix, giving spirit trinities for each decans. Quite cool

These 216 spirits may or may not be related to the sacred geometry of Metatron’s Cube or the 216-letter name of God in Kabbalism; you have to decide that for yourself.

For example: to put this system to the test, i use my own Ars Goetia conjuration here, then the following:

Araziel, i conjure you to obey my call. Through you Araziel i conjure you Rayel (or) Totath.

Rayel (or) Totath, through you i call you fallen angels Kadamidi (or) Minacharai (or) Yakasaganotz.

Depending on who you call, you can call the Ars Goetia spirits with them, if you so choose.

* Fallen angel Kadamidi, with you i call Gamigin and Raum. Esta ta et tasa Gamigin. Gamigin, hear my command. Furca na alle laris Raum. Raum, hear my command.

* Fallen angel Minacharai, with you i call Marbas and Focalor. Renach tasa uberace biasa icar Marbas. Marbas, hear my command. En Jedan on ca Focalor. Focalor, hear my command.

* Fallen angel Yakasaganotz, with you i call Valefor and Vepar. Keyman vefa tasa Valefor. Valefor, hear my command. On ca Vepar Ag Na. Vepar, hear my command.

Spirits all, hear me and manifest my desires. I tell you plainly, i want (want). By the power of IHVH TZEBAOTH AHA Daleth. I command you to open the Door to Victory and make my wish come true.

I have yet to see this form of Goetic or fallen angel conjuration printed anywhere. Will put it to the test myself and see if it yields results, or no. Well worth the shot.

Some other insights i gained during that time are below:

• Using Liber 777’s Tarot card and Geomantic figures as focus sigils opens unusual doors for NAP conjuration.

• I envision someone getting great results by combining the Greco-Egyptian spirits in Liber 777 with the PGM, all using the NAP Titanic Ritual.

• I also see someone getting results from using the NAP ritual to focus the seals and conjuations in the 6th & 7th Books Of Moses.

• I see someone doing great work with NAP and Lon Milo DuQuette’s Enochian Vision Magick, as well as the Ordines Descendens.

• I’d like to see someone keyscale the Buddhist meditations as either silent or mantra rituals. Would be interested in hearing results from that.

• In Kabbalah, you call to lights as your unmoved mover in order to generate change. Invoking the fixed and Behenian stars generates magickal direction in a potent way that focuses rituals differently.

• Calling the angels of the zodiac signs and houses also gives a higher level to conjuration, for more top-down callings. Using 777 to organize this gives unusual results, especially when you call angels and choirs in the different parts of ABiYA. The conjurations feel different, more organized.

• Sephirothic and Qlipothic magick attributes are given in 777, and these can be pathworked with NAP. It’s quite possible to do both, it’s just a matter of do you want to?

• Heptarchic magick (from the planetary spirits and intelligences) in conjunction with calling the planetary angels and/or Olympic spirits is kind of lateral to NAP. There’s room to work with it in that way.

There are many ways to work NAP up to this very day. It’s like, where do you begin?

Many of these ways of working the book are ways i’ve not seen in print before.

You can put many new twists into NAP work and conjure spirits most people wouldn’t even think to conjure with the system, with a bit of forethought.

Go through Liber 777, key scale 20 (Virgo) and pull out all the names you want. From there you can create as many conjurations as you can handle.

Quick example: spray Narcissus perfume in your chamber. Do the NAP ritual, then say: 'I call you (pick one or as many as you want: Attis, Ceres, Adonis, Vesta, or Flora) by the power of the letter Iota and the number 10.

The perfume is in column XLII, the Greco-Roman godnames are in column XXXIV (and XXXV), the Greek letters are in column LIII, and the Greek numerology is in column CLXXXV. The rest you put together yourself.

The original conjuration is ‘In the Power of the Names EHEIEH, IHVH ELOHIM, IHVH Ve-DAATH I place this Invocation with Thee Nitika, Genius of Wealth. Know that I require and command Thee to bring me gold. Thou has dominion over wealth and Thou shalt begin this very instant to shape the future such that money shall come to me, enough and to spare, by the powers of these Words and Invocation. Be Thou ruled by me the Names SHADDAI El CHAI and ADONAI Ha-ARETZ. So mote it be.’

In 777, the keyscales of Virgo (20) link to Mercury (8 and 12) and Earth (32bis). Whatever isn’t found in one of those lines is found on another.

There are a ton of conjurations you can put together from this, but just from reading 777 and the accompanying Heptameron, i see plain as day that calling Nitika may or may not get you the answer you’re looking for (keyscale 20, column CLXXIII). Nitika is the genius of precious stones. Haatan is the genius who conceals treasures.

This NAP arrangement gives me ‘In the names of EIN, EIN SOF, and OR EIN SOF i call the engines of creation to manifest my desire. In the name of EL i demand this to come to pass. God i call you forth by your secret name AZBOGAH, my might. Through you my request shall come to pass, for i have faith in your Strength. In the name of AZBOGAH i call you Nitika and Haatan. Nitika, acquaint me with the virtues of crystals and ores, thou genius of precious stones. Haatan, deliver to me all of your secret treasure locations, genius who conceals treasures. By the power of the name ELOHIM TZEBAOTH you will do what i command. IOD is your Hand O God, and with it i create my reality.’

When you read this through, you’ll notice it seems to me to be more a conjuration for treasure-hunters of old to find booty (which used to be a very lucrative pursuit in the middle ages). It probably works well, but to me seems a bit off.

If i were to write this conjuration for money and treasure (gold), i would call Sialul (genius of prosperity) and Librabis (genius of hidden gold), or i’d call Toglas (genius of treasure). This would change all of the wording in the conjuration:

‘In the names of EIN, EIN SOF, and OR EIN SOF i call the engines of creation to manifest my desire. In the name of EL i demand my commandment come to pass. I call you Sialul and Librabis by the powers of IHVH TZEBAOTH. Know that I require and command you both to bring me prosperity and hidden gold. You have dominion over wealth and treasure, and you shall both begin this very instant to shape the future such that money and gold shall come to me, enough and to spare by the powers of these Words and Invocation. Be Thou ruled by me the Names AHA, IHVH, and bring me treasure by the powers of SHADDAI El CHAI and ADONAI Ha-ARETZ, ADONAI MELEK, my ADONAI who i call IHShVH EHEIEH, IHShVH ADONAI. So mote it be.’

OR

‘In the names of EIN, EIN SOF, and OR EIN SOF i call the engines of creation to manifest my desire. In the name of EL i demand my commandment come to pass. I call you Toglas by the powers of ELOHIM GIBOR. Know that I require and command you to bring me prosperity and hidden treasures. You have dominion over wealth. You shall begin this very instant to shape the future such that money and gold shall come to me, enough and to spare by the powers of these Words and Invocation. Be Thou ruled by the Names ADONAI EL, and bring me treasure by the powers of SHADDAI El CHAI and ADONAI Ha-ARETZ ADONAI MELEK, my ADONAI who i call IHShVH EHEIEH, IHShVH ADONAI. So mote it be.’

There are many ways to do it if you check 777, or some of hte chapters in the Greater Key of Solomon have other ways to rewrite the conjure.
