Anyone know of any infernal practices similar to Santeria?

Probably the closest would be brazilian Quimbanda. So maybe start your research there.

Like @kiss-lamia-lilith said, Quimbanda is the most close to that. It also very workable if you know the fundamentals, people here in Brazil do spell work using Exus even if they are not initiated. Initiation is for:

1° To know what’s your Exu Guide which is from some phalanx of Exus, as well your Personal Exu (that Paulo Coelho in his book Pilgrimage called the Messenger, which are red Mercurial beings that represent your physical body and help you contact spirits and reach your full physical potential

2° To know the secret of that specific house you’re attending. So if you want to know other recipes or rituals from other houses you would have to get initiated in that other house. Initiation in African diaspora is personalized to that individual house, so every house has their own methods.

3° To receive a spirit ‘totem’ according to your Exu Guide (they call that totem “Fundamento” because it’s the foundation to increase the presence and strength of Exu in your life and in your magick) and teach you in how to make a Tronqueira/spirit house (so you can have your own ‘terreiro’/Quimbanda sanctuary/House and to dispess negative energy accumulated)

4° To have a psychological preparation, basically a Preparatory Immersion that E.A spoke about.

Santeria is not “infernal”… Santeria is a syncretic Afro-Caribbean religion rooted in Yoruba traditions and incorporating elements of Catholicism after the Catholics evangelized the peoples it came from. It’s not got much to do with “infernal” concepts and is not about using entities 'from hell" as the grimoiric tradition from the European Christian middle ages.

Santeria means “way of the saints”, it’s not about demons.

I agree Quimbanda is probably closer these days being an Afro-Brazilian religious tradition

I’m not Brazilian…

I’m aware that Santería has nothing to do with anything infernal, if you read the post thoroughly, you’d understand I was asking if there are any Latin American specific practices that have to do with infernal spirits

Same answer, still for the same reasons stated.

You don’t have to be Brazilian to practice Quimbanda Magick, Nicholaj de Mattos Frisvold is from Norway but he’s initiated an practice Quimbanda.

You really should be legitimately initiated though. Exu and Pomba Gira are not spirits to appropriate and dabble with.
