You cannot see them because they are not physical, and you do not have the senses to detect anything except the physical. The Djinn suddenly gaining physical form is from movies - they have no practical reason to do this.
The claims of people who say otherwise are not substantiated. They are not made of flesh, but “smokeless fire” - which is generally interpreted to mean plasma (which is ionized gas - “fire” without any soot or physical component at all) or energy-only today.
You cannot see sunlight, (the sun is also made of plasma) but it is energy that exists and you sense by it’s effects - it reflects off objects and can warm you. You cannot see the microwaves in your microwave oven but you see the effects. The Djinn are thier own source and manifestation of energy with consciousness. We are too - but we are possessing human bodies, and that is the main difference.
Yes. You would sense them using psychic abilities.
