Greetings everyone. Iām Dann, a developing practitioner with a strong inclination toward structured occult study and mental alchemy. Iāve joined the forum with a very specific goal: to **prepare consciously and respectfully to work with the entity Estolas.
Iām not looking for shortcuts or flashy rituals, Iām aware of the energetic and ethical price that comes with real spiritual work. Iāve already begun a symbolic connection protocol with discipline and intent, but I want to validate and strengthen my study path before going deeper.
Key Questions:
What texts, grimoires, or authors would you consider essential for understanding Estolas beyond the traditional Goetia?
Have you had personal experiences with this entity (if youāre open to sharing)?
How have you handled reciprocity or energetic exchange when working with him?
Do you believe itās useful to complement the work with systems like esoteric astrology, Qabalah, herbalism, or the Tarot?
What do you consider valid signs that an entity like Estolas is open to working with someone?
Any sincere guidance is appreciated. Iām not here to play. Iām here to learn, build, and evolve.
I donāt work with Stolas but I have a thought or twoā¦
Do you mean the entity more commonly referred to as Stolas or someone else?
For ANY entity: I wouldnāt. I would say anybody elses UPG, while itās great as a guide to get you started and no shade on them at all, if you really want to get to know an entity, make it personal.
Evoke him, invoke him, do your thing, and have a proper conversation with him, donāt bother with everybody elseās gossip about him - find out face to face.
Only if you feel like it, and not if you donāt. Itās your magick, your unique energy, what works for you may not work for others and vice versa, you really have to just try and build up your own experience. Trust yourself and follow your intuition.
Personally, I see these not as systems, but as tools that I may or may not call of for any given working. Qabalah is a system of self discovery that Stolas and others can help you with. Astrology and Tarot are largely divination devices. Herbs can be used for healing, as entheogens or their associative properties.
The right tool for the right job can really help, the wrong tool is a waste of time.
āValid signsā is open to debate, but I generally say, if you THINK itās a sign, itās a sign. If you see a weird cloud that looks like an owl and immediately think āthat looks like Stolas!ā and feel good about it - run with it. You got an impression from your subconscious and your first reaction is usually the right one. Donāt overthink it - that gives the conscious mind to much leeway to come in and invent identifications that are not true.
The reason I say ātrust your subconscious impressionā isnāt to lead you down tha path of madness - itās because if you do that. your subconscious notices itās being recognized and communicated with, and then does it more. This is the beginning of training yourself to communicate well with your subconscious, which is how the psychic aka clair-senses are developed - your subconscious gets the info, and then has to translate it into symbols for your conscious mind to interpret. So itās necessary to encourage it to communicate more by trusting it first, even at the risk of making mistakes. It gets better from there.
