Making a Crossroads Deal

I’m going to stay anonymous on this forum, you can simply just call me “Theboy.” I have been intrigued by the aspect of making a powerful deal with something for 7 years now. I have researched consistently these past years and I stumbled apon the crossroads ritual where you spend a few Sunday nights at a crossroad and wait till you feel the presence then you offer it your deal. I am going to attempt this in a weeks time and ask to be the sole winner of a big lottery on in October 2024. If anyone has any extra information on this ritual it would be greatly appreciated. Do not comment to try and make me not do it, because I have already made up my mind.

Welcome @Theboy It is a rule of this forum for all new members to properly introduce themselves so PLEASE CLICK ON THE IMAGE BELOW and tell us about yourself and any experience you may have in magick, such as what you practice, how long you have practiced, areas of interest, etc:

“It” who?? You’ve apparently been reading too many fairy stories.

This forum is for real practicing magickians, not folklore. Try learning practiced techniques from the occult community that are proven to work, maybe? This one would be great for just getting yourself parasitized, if anything. It’s a bad idea to “make deals” with random nobodies with no track record.

… although, if that’s your thing I do have this bridge I could sell you, great deal, it’s a strong investment I assure you.

Please do make your next post your Introduction here, which we need per the forum rules and see our posting guidelines in the FAQ.

Points to cover:

  • Do you have any practical experience in magick?

  • If so, what exactly do you practice and how long have you practiced?

  • Do you follow any specific system or tradition?

  • What are your areas of interest?

Here is a getting started with magick guide. You’ll want to get your spiritual hygiene sorted out, and start work on developing your astral senses, then when you can know you have a decent chance at avoiding impostors and parasites then try the evocation guides we have on here.

In hindsight saying “it” is probably disrespectful to the entity. However, from what I’ve gathered the entity could very well be papa legba, but most people just refer to the entity as a black man that resides at the crossroads. I can provide links to everything I have researched, this stuff isn’t a fairy tale it goes way back to early America. I have real primary sources that I can provide.

It’s an urban legend aka folklore so yes, it is a fairy tale lol

The crossroads thing is supposedly for making a deal with the devil. In modern times, most people know of the myth from the fictional television series Supernatural.

It has nothing to do with Papa Legba. Legba is an opener of doors, and makes the introduction to the rest of the Lwa.

I appreciate the insight. That is why I posted this, because I am still trying to learn and I know there is people like you guys on here that can help me do that.

The “black man” is a popular Christian depiction of the devil, and is mentioned in the historical accounts of young women tortured during the infamous Salem witch trials. The accused would often claim to have met with this black man in the woods and engage in orgies with him and other supposed witches.

I have seen some “”“”““traditionnal witchcraft””“”“”" pratitionner (more like Robert Cochrane inspired) who actually include such rites and calling a similar entitie (which feels more like the winter aspect of Wiccan’s Horned God)

If you are interested, you can check Gemma Gary’s book on the subject and also Folk Witchcraft by Roger J.Horme

in latin american religious practices of african descent usually they already know beforehand who they’re contacting exactly when they leave their offerings at a crossroads. the crossroads also has a symbolism that traces back to the time those people were slaves, so have additional respect if you’re white.

Crossroads are a place of exchange and commerce in general.

In Ancient Greece that were people met.

Unless you call for a voodoo spirit and or the particular crossroad as an history of slavery, i don’t think this necessary.

fair enough, i was just reading yesterday on hekate’s connection to crossroads.
but with op referencing papa legba… ehhhhh… it inevitably has the layer of ethnicity on top of not knowing who exactly they’re trying to call

(not that we don’t usually pay respect for the historical background of every entity we’re getting in contact with, of course we do and even as just a way of bonding but, not to get all political, but the impacts of slavery are still very much surfaced to this day so…)

The crossroad is a point to different portal of various universal destination including those within the earth zones and planetary links

Papa Legba (Esu) is not the only one in the crossroad. There are elemental, familiars, jinns, genie and genius being as you must agree that all this list are just different from one to the other including the dead ghost.

There are lost souls at the cross road that would say yes to anything they can not fulfill. You don’t go to the cross road to wait for random spirit. From the hoodoo Santeria, if you take êkùrú+red oil+iru to the cross road you will attract certain types of spirits.

If you take dog bone+cowries in numbers+other things you will attract certain groups of spirits.
You don’t just go to a crossroads and be waiting for a week or more to meet random spirit. There are times you will make requests through a magician who will inquire on your behalf and then the spirit in communication will give you directions to take such and such to a crossroads and there he will receive your request.

If the spirit did receive your request, does it apply to another individual who has a very different needs or inquiries to bargain with the spirit and how does this individual know who he’s bargaining with?

You don’t come to a magic forum to say you know what and what it is and that people opinion don’t matter because you already made up your mind to make a life long mistake.

It doesn’t work that way. There are people who can make pact on your behalf, they will speak for you and the spirit will make it self clear on what he will accept for your request.

There are books you can read, with diligence and commitment you will work your way to the position where you can speak your way open to the spirit, that can serve your purpose.

The art of obtaining familiar from spirits is a typical pact. There are people everywhere getting familiar from different spirit to what ever ends and they don’t regret it. There are 1001 demons that can make pact with you to grant you one familiar to whatever ends you so desire.

I am not offering any services whatsoever and if you desire such services you can ask within the group or elsewhere.

This sounds like a great way to get taken for a ride by whatever spirit shows up. Best to not do deals reaching out into the void unless you’re sure of who you’re calling and/or talking to. Parasites love this type of behavior and are happy to promise sweet nothings while they drain you.
