It’s worth remembering that Marbas is actually an entity to cause sickness to others. Under the principle that if an entity can do one thing it can do the opposite, people have found he is good at healing. Healing and shapeshifting are not the same thing.
Glamour is different - that’s about persuasion, giving a fake image into the onlookers mind. If they are strong willed or psychic, they’ll see through it. It doesn’t do anything for your actual being at all, it’s all surface.
Changing the soul - I don’t think this is a thing. I already explained my worldview on what soulds are so I won’t bore you with it again.
The angle you are still missing is your own will, intent, visualization and using energy working to change your body. It’s very slow because you are shaping your qi, this takes massive amounts of energy so you repeat and repeat, night after night, for months or years, and when your qi is held in a given pattern for long enough, it will stay there and the energy manifests in the physical. Don’t expect big changes, an inch in height, a younger looking face, thicker hair - your DNA is the ceiling.
If unwanted, imbalanced qi can give you a cold, or cancer, waned qi can change your body for the better. There’s a post about that recently.
Changing your DNA, or even just your epigenetic expression of your DNA, is considered possible. I have been trying and it’s not happened yet. I have not called on Marbas or any other healing entity to assist yet.
It’s an optical illusion that happens after a time or using an unfocused gaze - don’t actually look at the lines of the sigil, a tight focus will not let it happen as easily, just let your eyes take the whole thing in. What this means though, is you’ve gazed long enough to start entering an altered state of consciousness, a light trance state, at the level you get when driving a long road.
And the point of being in a trance state, is your subconscious can more easily communicate and actually get through, without your conscious mind being so noisy that it completely drowns it out.

I couldn’t say, but I seem to recall that people working through some grimoire said they felt more aggressive and predatory from doing that work.
