Feeler thread for a Special project on The Book of Azazel

Don’t forget the dollar store, if you have those wherever you are. They may have bowls and picture frames, and if you paint the backside of the picture glass (probably plastic) with acrylic black pain, you have a cheap black mirror that looks very similar to the still surface of water in a black bowl.

@jpaq87666 put in a great topic on how to use black mirrors with a whole incantation, tips and advice and all that fun stuff too:

I just thought of something. When it comes to the sigil because there a lot in the book. If you don’t have a printer and can’t draw to save your life. get some tracing paper it’s pretty cheap. I got my pack off of Amazon for like four bucks… Use a pinch when you’re tracing so that doesn’t bleed through to your book and then trace over those lines with a black marker. Here’s some examples I made from the first couple of gateways.

Edited to add: when using the permanent marker, make sure you have something underneath the tracing paper because the marker will bleed through and stain underneath.

I looked up recent uploads on Odysee, and about a month ago, EA did an invocation to/of Azazel. There is a great pre-ritual cleanse he did for us specifically to do with religious residue and releasing any detritus still hanging on us. I highly recommend that in preparation. The whole video, very helpful.

do you happen to have the link to that?

Its interesting how wildly differing the availability of items are. Some things that are common place here, hard to get elsewhere and vice versa.
Glass picture frames are sold in a plethora of places here.
I found it much harder to get a non reflective black paint. Called at least half a dozen paint shops till I found one that did. Outrageously expensive though.

So I’ve got my A4 sized glass, my paint and a brush. I will begin construction over the weekend

On the subject of drawing, how precise do the drawings need to be?

Also wondering about size. The book seems to suggest the gateway of pacts should be big enough to stand in, or to put a candle between each verse. I get you can do that with a small image and small candles, just wondering if its okay for it to be that cramped

For me, a very small container of paint (hopefully enough for two coats) was $19 (which is about $12 in US currency), picture frame $14, paintbrush $8.
Anything arts and crafty is very pricey here.

I’ll have to get Nitika to reimburse me

The Gateway of Pacts can be used for the magician or the spirit. If you can’t make it large enough for yourself to stand in, then I recommend using it like you would a triangle and evoke the spirit into it. You can put your incense in the center and have the spirit manifest there.

Well, since you’re going to be working with the legions of Azazel, maybe Sala’sash would be a better choice lol

I mean, I use tracing paper so that you could be basically identical with the drawing. These ones are just gonna go in my notebook since I made them for example, I would think if you can’t draw Presley to print them out. Because they were designed the way they are for a reason.

I have one of the BALG universal circles ( The Universal Circle | E.A. Koetting | Become A Living God) so i will be using that. Obviously in my drawings I was just showing for an example. But I would think to at least have it big enough for the candles if you can draw it big enough to get in that would be ideal.

@Ragepanda DK makes a very valid point there.

Thank you!

I had to recover from the sticker shock of those prices. This kills my creative, libra soul.

Do those of your haters worried about using smoke to see the spirits during this. I actually asked E.A for some suggestions. The following is a direct quote from
my email with him. I hope this helps everyone

“ To be honest, my advice with this has evolved quite a bit lately, and it’s probably not what most people are expecting… BUT here it goes: Don’t worry about seeing the spirit. In fact, put your altar against the wall so when you’re evoking you can’t see anything except the wall and hopefully the sigil on the wall, or an idol or whatever your ritual focus is.

Evoke the spirit like normal, but rather than trying to see or hear it, try to feel it through your emotions, your physical sensations, but most importantly, use this as an opportunity to exercise your real psychic senses by reaching out into the room behind you and feeling the spirit there. Doing this, you can get a much thicker “felt presence” of the spirit, often feeling it touching you or breathing on your neck, because even though you can’t see it, you know it is behind you!

Now, you can look into smoke or water or fire and that works just fine… but to be honest, all of those are using the exact same internal vision as looking at a wall and intuiting what is happening behind you, but people get really lost thinking that their eyes are going to see it. Just look at the wall and let your magickal mind do the heavy lifting.”- E.A Koetting

I grew up in a super Christian household where the only tools I could have safely were candles, my phone, and myself so this is how I always had to do it. And it always made me feel inferior to other occultists who could do it the official way. So I’m glad to hear someone with more experience say this is a valid way of doing it too.

hey, you don’t have to delete that. I was just gonna respond to you that same for me, but it’s gonna look kind of crazy now that you deleted it.

Sorry I thought maybe I got a little too excited about feeling validated and it might not have been the right context to say all that. I re-uploaded it!
