They’re very similar, and some mages use the words interchangeably.
Banishing is to get rid of specific energies in your space - like your house, your ritual space your bedroom etc. It’s usually used to mean getting rid of entities - beings that you do not want in your area, like ghosts, imps, parasites and lesser entities and sometimes named entities.
Cleansing is typically on you as a person, and means getting rid of unwanted emotions, blocks and “dirty energy” you have accumulated in your body. It can mean parasite removal if one has embedded into your energy field. You can cleanse a space of unwanted energy as well.
Exorcism can be used to mean either of these thing but usually also only means “getting rid of an unwanted entity”.
