So if we break samsara, we end up being on the astral plane right? (reference Mark Allan Smith first book) Is there anything else we can achieve? (despite uniting with the source or creating our own universe) After spiritual immortality.

I would also like to see something about why someone’s rinky-dink magick would work so powerfully while many struggle with getting success through elaborate evocations. Are there underlying principles guiding flukes?

That’s because you could do the most elaborate ritual you want but in the end it comes down to individual ability and truth be told it’s about the power of the magician. How much effort has the individual put into developing their self and how much understanding of the cosmos do they have. Also the ritual is 100% for the magician himself and never intended for any other purpose. The ritual is designed to help the magician open himself up, get in the right frame of mind and communicate with his subconscious through symbolism to ready him for the work at hand. The ritual has nothing to do with anything else the spirit could care less about the format, layout or procedures of the ritual because in fact it has nothing to do with him.

About topics, an interesting one would be to discuss “sci-fi” magick. So how close it’s possible (if any at all) to approach instant physical travel, fireballs, levitation…

I’d like to see traditional necromancy in a new grimoire. But I’m not sure you’re capable or experienced in that area. Legit traditional necromancy is hard to come by, and most authors I come by that write necromantic books are not actual necromancers. Most of them just write in a way to make money off it. I’ve heavily studied the necromantic arts and devoted practically all my time to it over the years, yet I can count on one hand the grimoires that were relevant to my practice of necromantic witchcraft. Still, if you wrote anything on necromancy I would read it wether it was relevant to my path or not. Your experience in necromancy is irrelevant to wether or not I read it simply because I soak up everything on this subject like a sponge. That is what I’d like to see. Necromancy.

@fapa79 that isn’t exactly what I call sci-fi, so, do you mean an ability development text, or a magical system interacting with ‘sci-fi’ energies (aliens, travelers, distant planets, comets, etc)?
@NeoFightTheNyophite how different/what kind of strange new ways do you have in mind? I can definitely do boundary pushing though.

When people say ‘strange new ways’, IME, they usually have something in mind off the beaten path that would normally be regarded as strange. All I can do is put the info out there! Whether it changes anybody’s thinking is their own choice to decide.
Good point. I guess the idea I held was strange connections betweens spirits, energy, events, and so forth. I wrote some stuff about that somewhere on this forum. That being said, in more curious on someone else’s take on “strange new ideas” would be.

Sorry, actually it would be about abilities and not sci-fi.
When a kid I let my imagination running wild: (adding other examples) resurrections, entering fictional worlds or meeting anime characters here… so, magick doesn’t go this far but sometimes a compromise may be possible (while in other cases it’s either a thing or nothing).

I keep feeling compelled to ask for something on scrying. I don’t know if it’s the influence of the tiny scrying ball in my hand or not but that doesn’t really matter.
