Hi! It’s me again. In my attempts to combat lust, I’ve tried a lot of things and reflected on what works and what doesn’t, including this post.
The main question is: what makes one spell stronger than another, one mage stronger than another? Why can two people do the same thing but get different results?
You can say that these are some Objects, rituals, altars, symbols, words, amulets, potions… but it is constantly mentioned on the forum that all we need for magic is our mind.
In the Draconian Ritual Book by Asenath Mason, in the section “Personal Temple,” it is written that all of these are just tools to help you tune in to the work, but are not necessary for the result.
Plus, magic can be “pronounced” in different languages and is not tied to a specific one.
So I conclude that it is not material objects and specific ritual actions that make our magic stronger.
And as I discussed earlier in another post:
But they don’t. So faith and intention are not the answer.
I’ve read in other threads that emotions and feelings give magic its power. But is that true? Does this mean that it is impossible to do anything related to magic in a state of calm? I am sure that many monks, priests and yogis prioritize a state of peace rather than intense feelings. So that’s probably not the answer either…
Using someone else’s power? Calling on some spirits for help? Perhaps, but that would mean we’re completely powerless and only capable of calling on others.
Perception and concentration?
By paying attention to a sense organ, we intensify the sensations it perceives. This is simply a psychological fact. Moreover, this is what training the astral senses, Clair senses, comes down to.
Concentration is the ability to hold our attention on something. This is certainly an important quality for absolutely any activity performed by the mind.
But does it enhance our spells, invocations, energy, astral senses? idk
Energy work? I also think it’s all simply tied to the perception of sensations. Some meditate on the seven chakras, others use more advanced or entirely different systems, some on the astral body, and so on. Some simply use visualization, supposedly channeling energy in this way. There are many different methods and their descriptions, but they all have one thing in common - directing attention to something that can evoke sensations… or rather, we begin to feel something better.
So, what should we do to become more powerful in magic? What’s truly important, and what’s just a matter of preference?
