Assume that’s a yes - this is normal MO for parasites. It makes them harder to get rid of if they embed like ticks in the corners of your being and make themselves harder to root out and get rid of directly.
It’s a common story on here if you read through enough posts.
I had one that took me 6 months to destroy, as I’d get parts in some places, only to find it had hidden or there was more (like the head of a tick still in your skin) that had to be removed. They’re not physical, and don’t follow the rules of biological beings and can split themselves and still survive.
You have to get creative and work with your subconscious in images and metaphors to find and get rid of all of them, I found the mansion house concept from Josephine MCCarthy’s The Exorcists handbook very useful. Basically you see yourself as a house, or a garden, or both, and walk through your “house” looking in all the rooms, and attack it when you find it.
I always attack directly using visualizations of fire and burning to get rid of these. It worked every time, so I don’t even try any other method now.
Once it’s gone - it can come back if you don’t put up barriers against this. These are often called “wards” and “shields” and I recommend them as a basic part of your general protections that you want to have ready to go or in place when you are active magickally. A protective circle is an example of a kind of ward. A shield is a ward that is personal and attached to you,a ward is more like a fence about your spaces.
