I purchased the Mastering Divination course earlier this year. My thinking at the time was that if I coud master communications with demons and spirits through this one course, the remaining two (Mastering Soul Travel and Mastering Evocation) ought to be a good deal easier. And the 50% off is, indeed, tempting!
My problem is that I have got absolutely nowhere with this course. I have begun it several times. I’ve listened to it in the car over long journeys. I’ve watched the videos and taken notes, as one might do at a lecture or seminar.
However, I’ve had no results at all with the Ouija Board. Nothing. I can’t seem to connect with my (Rider-Waite) tarot cards. The same with the more advanced stuff (which I thought I’d attempt anyway). Nothing from the fire in my cauldron, nothing through my mirror. Which is a gut-wrenching, crying shame, as I really want this to work.
So, what do I do? Do I persevere with this course, in the hope that doing the exact same thing might bring about a different result? Do I purchase the two other courses at the reduced rate anyway - is there a chance I’ll have greater success with one of those? Should I investigate a personal consultation with EA himself?
This is NOT a complaint. This is more of a plea for help. What am I missing?

I think the first thing is that divination isn’t designed as a communication technique and isn’t good for that. It’s to uncover the future and unknown.
The best way to get communication is to develop your intuition to get telepathic messages, insight, and what is otherwise covered under psychic or astral skills.
If you have a browse though these results, especially the ones titles “tutorial” you’ll see a variety of ways to help build your astral senses.
Also we recommend you avoid ouija boards, they’re generally considered too chaotic and parasitized to be useful. You could have been having perfectly gods results and not know it because a parasite (astral being that feeds on negative energy) was messing with you. That’s fine for tend wanting titilation at a party alright can bring trouble, but for serious mages those are not your go-to tool. Make nice wall art and that’s about it.
A god starting point of you had to pick one method is the sigil method. You get one on one contact with a named and known entity, lucifer is good for beginners, and all out specific questions.
I highly recommend learning how to banish and cleanse and make sure any nasties that came through the ouija board are cleared out. Ouija boards can open portals to poorly controlled astral locations, depending on how you use them.
I got the Mastering Evocation course some years ago (the only one of E.A.’s courses I’ve gotten so far) and I was very happy with it. Within the first month, I could clearly see the spirits that I evoked very quickly.
When it comes to skrying with fire, in a mirror or in water, you don’t literally see the image in the skrying surface itself, you see it in your mind’s eye. The skrying tool is just that, a tool, aid, crutch etc.
