Troubleshooting Sigil Work

I want to learn demon summoning. Yesterday I tried summoning Purson because he knows the secrets of the past and future. I drew a Sigil (my drawing is bad) and used the Sigil on my phone as well. I lit incense and candles and said “Enn Pearson,” but nothing happened. What’s wrong? Do I have to keep going until I feel something?

So, start from the stop @AM5 - what you have so far is not about summoning, you can use a sigil like a phone number.

When you call someone on the phone, they do not show up at your house (which would be a summoning also called evocation or conjuration) they just answer the phone and you hear their vice.

So it is with a sigil - you are making a telepathic connection to communicate instead of a cell phone connection.

To be able to “hear” the entity, you don’t use your physical ears - you use your psychic senses, all of them, and you can get flashed in your mind of images, emotions, or you “just know”, or you hear your own voice in your head, and after developing your sense you can start to get voices that don’t sound like you, scents, touch and so on.

Have you seen this tutorial - is this what you did or something else?

Today I tried evocation Purson. I lit incense and candles, recited the Enn Purson for an hour, and stared into the Sigil. During this time, I felt a change of consciousness or a kind of possession for only a fraction of a second—a fleeting feeling. I want to make a pact with Purson, and the condition for activating the pact is that he appears in my dream and tells me that he has accepted the pact. I hope he appears.

Posesion is not evocation, that’s called invocation. You did not try to evoke. These are not the same thing and have different purposes.

Did you ask Purson to come?

Maybe go back and read tutorials on how to evoke first.

I’m just describing what happened. Also, I’m not concerned with terminology because I’m not fluent in English; I’m using Google Translate.

I asked him to come in my dream

That is not how pacts work. A pact is a binding agreement between the magician and the demon. It requires communication and negotiation. If you can’t communicate, you can’t enforce a pact. Any dream of a demonic figure will just be created by your imagination as wish fulfillment. Evocation and pact making is not as easy as you seem to think it is. It is an advanced skill that requires practice.

Terminology matters. If your intention is unclear, you won’t get results, and language is a precise tool to help you set your intention.

Nothing in what you describe was intended to evoke so you did not.

You don’t need to do either to make a pact. Follow the instructions linked above to use the sigil method to make contact and ask for a pact but you will probably not see anything. And that’s ok.

@mulberry @DarkestKnight Thank you both :beating_heart:

I communicate with him in my native language and have no problem expressing what I want.

My intention was for him to appear in the incense or give me a sign of his presence.

My request is for him to grant me the ability to see the future through the pendulum.
I used to have that ability; the information I received from the pendulum was very accurate. However, once my pendulum was lost and I made another one, I completely lost my ability to predict the future.

I summoned demons using the Book of Demons of Magic. This method gives me a feeling of energy during the summoning, but it’s rare for any request to be granted.

In this case you have the same issue all newbies have - read this thread for the last time someone here had this issue as it has a lot of responses that could help you.

Mainly - keep trying. This is a skill to learn and it takes time to get it to work.

I just tried to summon Lucifer by staring at his sigil and chanting enn Lucifer . My state of consciousness changed, and the lines began to disappear and reappear. I stopped after half an hour because obsessive thoughts kept recurring and bothering me. Could these thoughts, like the fear of a friend’s death, affect the ritual? Or does Lucifer know they are just obsessions and won’t have any effect at all?

I used to suffer from obsessive-compulsive disorder and I still have some obsessive thoughts. I’ve recovered from it by 85%.

Thank you.

If these are memories, there’s nothing to be done. But you did the right thing interrupting them. If your friend is alive you could manifest what you fear. While killing people with is incredibly hard it’s best to stop that thought asap.

But how do you know that you are talking to that spirit ? Spirits speak through minds thoughts even thought I’m enough confident but still

Practice. You have to learn how to differentiate the spirit’s voice from your own inner voice.

I also saw a picture of a snake.
I asked it to visit me in my dream and tell me if it was before my offer or not, but I didn’t dream of anything.

Dreams are pretty unreliable. But if you practice meditating on these things - being quiet and thinking about them, letting the information come to you when you ask questions - then your dreams get stronger and more reliable as well, and you learn you can do this any time and don’t have to wait on dreaming.

I’m confused now. I don’t know if the summoning was successful or not, or if my offer was accepted. What happened during the summoning was a change in my state of consciousness, parts of the Sigil disappeared, and I saw a snake when I closed my eyes. At night, a blue light flashed for a second.

If it was present during the summoning, why didn’t it visit me in my dream as I requested? Can I break the vow now, or must I repeat the summoning again?

Thank you

There’s multiple reasons. The big tell is when you say “IF it was present…”
You don’t know, and dreams are about the worst way to try to find out anything.

  1. You didn’t actually summon - ideally you should learn how to sense this during the summoning, if only as a sense of presence like being watched

  2. You summoned but the request to have a dreams was not heard, not accepted, or the request was not accepted

  3. The dream happened and you don’t remember it.

If all you did was stare at the “sigil and chant the enn” that is not necessarily a summoning. They usually show up though and you can’t see them, and then you get results, or you don’t. Getting results is the real tell.

You said you used the “Book of Demons of Magic” - I don’t have that book, I don’t use the techniques in it, most people here do not, so I have no idea what you actually did. If you want to explain that in more detail we can help troubleshoot - it’s not like we’re all the same working from a school textbook here. If you can be more specific, and talk about what you FELT more than what you saw, and maybe there’s an issue with the technique. Maybe you are not visualizing the outcome clearly or for long enough. Don’t know.

What many people DO do for this, is ask for a sign. A sign occurs in real life and you will intuitively know that your request was accepted when you see it.

If this was your request, it could be the issue - they often don’t help with things they think you should wok on yourself. Divination is a skill that has nothing to do with the object you use to divine, but you do need confidence. Just keep practicing and it will come.

Many people here actually use that particular book with great results. It seems the OP used that method with Purson but used just a seal and enn for Lucifer. He’s talking about two different methods so it’s a bit confusing.

I used the Sigil method with Purson and Lucifer.

It seems the key to success with this method is focusing on chanting the “enn” demon. When I tried to summon Purson, I felt nothing; I was just reciting the chant like a robot, without really paying attention. But while summoning Lucifer, I focused on chanting the chant deeply and with a kind of reverence, and what I mentioned earlier happened. The good news is that the pendulum has started giving me correct answers, but I’m still at the beginning. I get one correct answer and ten incorrect ones. Before, all its answers were wrong.

It’s been 12 days since I made my pact with Lucifer, and the pendulum is still giving me random answers.

Does this mean the pact wasn’t accepted?

I’m thinking of canceling it.

What do you think? Should I cancel it, wait, or try to summon Lucifer?

I tried today, but I didn’t feel anything.

Thank you.
