Thoughts on Law of Attraction

Yeah I’m not familiar with the work of Stephen Wolfram, I’ll have to look into it, thanks for the tip!

Donald Hoffman and Stephen Wolfram have a discussion on their theories on Curt Jaimungal’s ‘Theories of Everything’ channel where they end up comparing theories and realizing they’re working on opposite ends of the same thing. It’ll be cool to see them join forces and research (along with Chetan Prakash and team) if they manage that.

The Law Of Attraction is so popular cause it’s super watered down magick.

It doesn’t need to consciously raise and move energy.
It doesn’t need to teach you about altering your consciousness.
No spirits to call.
No em.
No movement.

All those “”“”““success””“”“”" writters just push people to create basic thoughtform that will support the people in their goal. (Without saying that)

I think this is the author of Modern Magick who stated it’s a very basic way to see Kabbalah Magick.

I don’t think it works if you don’t, and this is why so many say it doesn’t work - it isn’t being done right.

In qigong, we are taught (and ime this works) that where your put your attention is where energy will move to, and your intention is what it does when it gets there. LoA leverages both of these correctly. However as you imply, changing a situation often required more energy than only intention without cultivation can apply, and people are often not given that piece or how to apply more energy other than spending more time visualising the results. But there are better ways to insert more energy into a situation than this.

Ouch

But no lies detected.

If only they knew

What a revelation it’ll be when LOA pracs discover EM.

What are shifting and mental pictures if not varations of the affect bridge with dissociation, which are followup techniques to altered state change in clairvoyance?

Isn’t the mirror technique just mesmeric eye fascination with hypnotic commands under a different name?

Aren’t affirmations and the 369 Method just posthypnotic commands?

What are written/spoken affirmations, tap techniques, and mirror methods also form somatic bridges in ways similar to the Hakomi Method and other forms of somatic psychotherapy?

None of those dissociation or bridging techniques work properly without doing induction first - without induction, the critical bypass is not removed from the equation and the mind can lead itself into full-on confabulations. The mind also requires induction and altered states to receive hypnotic commands in profound ways. The LOA attempt to do self-hypnosis without the hypnosis structure leaves a LOA practitioner open to many errors, and lack of magickal training leave the LOA work quite toothless in its effectiveness.

ALL of your actual spirits in the LOA are ‘your Subconscious,’ which is a joke. Old school mesmerists have explained many times that the Subconscious doesn’t GIVE instructions, it only RECEIVES and OBEYS them. Instructions come from the intuition and Superconscious, or from Reason. Istg people nowadays fall for anything.

Exactly

The Law Of Attraction also copies the New Age Movement error of ignoring the Shadow. The problems that ignorance causes over time are too numerous to list here

Would you mind giving examples of better ways to insert more energy into a situation? I sort of put a stop to magick to understand the law of attraction given that my own past experiences show that I practiced it without knowing it and some things came to pass the way I imagined. But now I’m working on manifesting something I don’t I can with magick.

“Energy follows mind.”
You use your mind, usually with visualization as the tool to positively “see” flows of energy moving in to push things around.

You have two options about where that energy comes from

  • internally from you, such as when you use a wand, athame, sword fingers, heart energy, “tendrils”, visualize yourself physical acting, and other ideas that have a direct source in your body,
  • or externally, where you see similar but from the cosmos, you ask a spirit and see them doing the work, the weather or other more abstract concepts

If you use your own energy, it’s helpful to cultivate qi and circulate it to train your body to be able to process more amounts of qi faster. This is the meaning of qigong - “energy training”. And it start with sensation exercises like the “qi ball”, to be able to sense it so that you can work with it effectively.

For example, let’s say, you have seen a sickly plant in the grocery store, and you feel it’s a beautiful plant that just needed some TLC to be amazing. It’s been neglected and is weak, and you want to nourish it with energy to help it get strong again as quickly and as successfully as possible.

So law of attraction, all you do is treat it well and visualize it healthy. Which also brings it positive energy, but you can add to that then, if you also directly offer it energy. You could place your hands around it, open your Lao Gung (palm points), cultivate qi from the cosmos and see it gently circulate through you and out of your palms, bathing the plant in love and positive energy, telling the plant “take all you need”.

Thank you so this thourough reply!

I did some energy practice, but neglected it recently as I still don’t always see the applications other than the candle/jar magic.

The plant example is great (and some of mine would benefit from it :), but is there a way to use energy for example when we want to manifest something specific? In LOA we are told to visualize a certain scene and feel the associated feeling. Would it do something if we, for ex., send the energy from our heart chakra into the visualisation to reinforce it? Or it’s not the right application for energy work?

Yes this is more like, steering probabilities, changing the existing energy rather than adding energy to it. But if you cultivated before hand and got into a good trance so you can focus on the scene really clearly and powerfully, that can help. More like, using the qi to push the change in probability harder. The more you put in the more you get out.
