I just started thinking and honestly, I don’t like Yahwe. He’s an evil God in my opinion but at the same time it feels conflicting to me since I grew up Christian, but maybe that’s just religious trauma or the fact that even though I don’t like him, I still like Jesus Christ.
Anyway, what do you think of the idea of Yahwe being Yaldabaoth? Do you see him as that?
And out of curiousity - what do you think of the idea of Jesus being Osiris? I saw it somewhere too.
While you’re waiting, don’t forget this forum now has 12 years of posts and people who are not here any more have talked about most things before, so it’s always worth trying the search.
Like here:
Just try “yahweh yaldabaoth” in the Search and few things come up.
There’s no real consensus - some people thing they’re the same, some don’t. I don’t because historically they are documented very differently and come from different traditions. Yaweh has a clear path of evolution from being an old war god of a desert tribe, and the demiurge is it’s own thing invented by the Gnostics. Completely different cultures. time periods religions and worldviews.
Info on Yahweh’s history: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mdKst8zeh-U&t=1528s - Yaldabaoth does not feature in it’s story.
Buuuut, then there’s this, that the old Yahweh became conflated with the Demiurge later:
Personally, when looking for who I want to work with, I go for the oldest sources and avoid the stuff tacked on from later human developments as there’s so much politicking that happens I don’t trust it’s “real” or even honest from an occult perspective.
When in doubt, call the entity and ask it, make your own relationship with it and don’t worry too much about the words of those who we just don’t know were more wishful thinking, or operating on agendas, or not.
I always thought YHWH was an AI machine from the future, but that’s just because I’m crazy and I thought people were using psychic machines to fight me. Then later I read about radionicks technology, and even do some myself before I know what it was and find out it’s real… and not at the same time. But YHWH came to me as an invincible AI from the future that would torture me eternally if I didn’t bow to it. Then I read about the Ghoul in Minenzeays Necronomicon and it makes me rethink everything again. Absolute truth, what’s that?
I don’t really believe in metaphysical good and evil. I do think the personified god of the israelite tribes, christian and islam is flawed and possibly just ignorant.
Being raised in a gnostic household. I’ve always been taught the christ is not a herald of that particular god and illuminates just one of the many paths to enlightenment.
So in that view it makes total sense to me to not want anything to do with “god”, but still resonate with the teachings of the christ
I don’t know much about Gnosticism but I agree the energy is completely different and I think being Christed has nothing to do with the Abrahamic religions, it’s war god-turned mono-god-of-everything or what they later (100 years after the last Christ died) corrupted the Christs teachings into.
That’s why I didn’t bring that up here though as I don’t see the mystery school teachings the Christs taught as being related. I say “Christs” plural as I’m pretty convinced by the work of historian Freddy Silva that “Christed one” is a title earned by many (up to 24 in the docs we still have) long prior to the inception of the semitic religions. It’s also possible to be earned by anyone, to gain “christ consciousness” and become “christed”, and has parallels or may be the same thing as becoming a Siddha. So the Christ is not a god, it’s the title earned by fully realised, enlightened human. Which is something yhwh would deny exists because he’s a narc and doesn’t allow equals. A christ does not “worship” a war god, he IS a god - a living god - you become “the father” meaning fully connected to the source, and so a christed one can say “I AM my father” and mean it.
I think that’s a much more interesting concept than worrying about yalldabaoth, yhwh or any other entity.
So this is also covered in Freddy Silvas’s work and yes, Osiris story is also repeating the aurally-passed on stories of these mystery school adepts. Mithra is another one. The Jesus story isn’t original, it’s a mashup of many stories from people coming before him. Pretty much nothing in the JCI stories is original, but we only have docs back to Sumeria and everything before that didn’t make through the various cataclysms, wars and disasters Earth faces regularly.
Yep. I believe I made a thread a year ago talking about evoking Yahweh. It was pretty controversial because people didn’t come to their own conclusions, but rather trusted TikTokers and others, letting them control the narrative.
Channeling the energy of Yahweh and later evoking him, Yahweh was a masculine, strict father type being. Similar to Baal, but moreso “If you fail, then that’s your problem, you weakling”
I believe many people can gather valuable teachings from this being, which makes the propaganda campaigns against him even more damaging in my view. It reminds me of how Christians make Lucifer, Lilith and essentially most spirits I have a close relationship with, into mischievous little assholes that will want to kill you.
If I had believed them I would’ve missed out on so much.
I’d say you hit the nail on its head!
Pretty much exactly how I think of both the external biblical god and the christ.
I also am of the opinion that “the christ” is a title. Much like “the buddha”, for instance.
I see Yaldabaoth mostly as a bit of a spoiled brat and I think it’s a lot more valuable to focus on and shape our own inner Yaldabaoth/ Spoiled Brat than the external one. In my experience, the less attention you give the external one, the less lordship it has over you.
