I have an Audible subscription through Amazon. It’s about $15 UDS a month… with that, comes a credit per month for any book, and after that you can buy audible version of books.
You can’t download them you have to use the Audible app as it’s a proprietary format, but I get through a lot of books this way, and it’s interesting how things stand out differently between reading and listening.
TMW a post here reminded me that I too have a “godspouce”, but it’s not really a god Does everyone have an active constant connection with their godspouce throughout the years? Should I go make a scene?
I have one. Connection can fleet sometimes in the mortal life. But she’s always there when I need her. Perfectly content with where I am too. And I’m hardly the first either. As I have found out, “spiritual monogamy” is hardly if ever a thing.
My family on my mom’s side is said to have divine parentage as well. Though, I see it more as they were followers of Freyr rather than literal “children of Frey”.
Its a tale that’s been passed down but I’ve found no historic source that the MacLeods were the “children of Freyr” other than the fact that they have norse lineage and likely took the old gods with them to the isle of skye before clan MacLeod became clan MacLeod.
That moment when…you learn that Perter J. Carroll, the grandfather of modern day chaos magick and author of the seminal tome Liber Null and Psychonaut, has died.
I wonder if he successfully transferred his consciousness…
Let’s make something clear:
When for 20 years I have a very firm opinion that humans are crap, and I avoid friendships and unnecessary interactions, and suddenly the “universe” or “karma” or “god” brings me people that make me question that belief, they make me feel that maybe I was wrong, maybe that’s a lesson I need to learn now that not everyone is crap and I can trust and rely on some, and then these same people end up being crap…
…That is not a lesson. That’s a vicious, twisted joke delivered at the exact point in my life when I should finally be collecting rewards, not fresh wounds.
I used karma here the same way usually the “modern spiritualists” are talking about “karmic ties” and “karmic cycles”.
I don’t subscribe under “karma”, as far as past lives go. I used to believe in energy though, which is a form of “karma” but only tied with your current acts, in this life.
As you get older though and life happens, you realize that it doesn’t freaking matter how much “good” or “bad” energy you put out there.
“Good people” won’t get good things and “bad people” won’t get bad things. Usually good people get the shitty end of the rope and bad people get the good things in life. And most often than not, good people who got the shitty end if they decide to become bad people they keep getting the shitty end.
That’s why, the current older version of me believes in building your own fate here and now. No energy, no karma, no god, no universe.
