Reverse Law of Attraction

An experience I’ve often had, mostly before my delve into magick but occasionally to this day, is the supposed Law of Attraction working in reverse. Desiring something and acting like I have it already has blown up in my face more often than not, and sometimes it appears as if this ‘law’ manifests the opposite of whatever it is I have in mind. This used to happen to an uncanny degree when I was more religious than magickal.

I do not know the psychic/metaphysical causes of this, but I suspect it has something to do with guilt. It ties in with other ideas about why the most wickedly greedy and callous of men seem to amass wealth without effort- so much of it, that it goes beyond a mere willingness to exploit people. They might be doing things we see as evil, but they believe themselves to be the righteous inheritors of the Earth and all its resources. Perhaps this single-minded certainty about their deserving snowballs for them.

I’ve had this with a couple of workings, and I’ve seen other members comment something similar.

I’m not sure why it happens but it seems to always be when other humans are targeted as part of the working’s intentions. so I wonder if thier energy is not playing ball.

Acting like you have it… isn’t the way, I think. You’d have to feel like you have it  . Conversely, if you mainly feel desire… unfulfilled desire is a want, a lack, and feeling a lack of something of course attracts more lack :hole:.

If you ask me, I’d say you have to

  • Pick your intent.
  • Focus on the outcome (this is where you can visualise how it will look like :eyes:, what it will sound like :ear:, but also how good it will feel )…
  • … and then energise that feeling and visualisation :star_struck:.

In my mind, this last point is wrongly skipped over in the “manifestation” books. You have to intend it to become reality. You have to add something. It’s difficult to describe this. I recently tried here, maybe that will help.
