I just finished House of Cards: Psychology and Psychotherapy Built on Myth by Psychology professor Robyn Dawes. It gave me a lot of tools for picking through the scientifically fallacious assertions from Psychology and Psychiatry, with many fully cited studies for support.
I also picked up a few rhetorical phrases such as “argument from vacuum” which is when you dismiss actual data with a hypothetical. I picked up Clinical vs Actuarial evaluation. Actuarial evaluation uses a table or function for prediction instead of intuition, and it seems to always win. Actuaries may be a good way to do divination. I also learned about “egoistic individualism”, the ideological basis for psychology.
I will probably be reading this book over and over again.
I got multiple refunds due for me all called back today to collect after I increased my levels of entitlement starting Sunday. This is kind of stupid and I don’t like it, but it is a call back to the first post here and this post.
Bill Gaede recently put out The Aether Challenge since he didn’t understand how his model was an aether model.
Phantom Thread Aether
This is my answer. I combine both pictures together to show how Bill Gaede’s model is an aether model. According to Bill Gaede’s book, The Rope Hypothesis, a thread connects and composes all of the matter in a universe.
In this video Sam Vaknin equivocates Narcissism and Spirituality. It makes sense because both terms pertain to group dynamics. Narcissism is a DSM insult for someone who wants to control narratives and spirituality just means group dynamics. Vaknin also says narration, aka story telling is how you control people.
