Thank you for the advice. I showed it to a friend of mine when we were talking about magick. He’s an atheist just curious about my things but after I showed it I started to think I probably made a mistake
Honestly I think magick in general is best kept secret entirely. Any awareness of what you do can change someone’s motives or behavior towards you. The older I got, the less amount of sharing I’ve done about my spirituality.
It’s probably fine and he forgot about it, but atheists imo are actually strongly religiously minded - atheism is itself a belief system based on a negative rejection of other’s beliefs and steadfast refusal to consider the evidence of thier own subtle senses.
This means, magickally, atheists can put out negating energy to interfere with workings by believing that they will not work. It’s ironic, but all humans are magickal creator beings, unfortunately, including atheists. Doing magick accidentally and uncontrolled is just what muggles do - all the time.
I would play it safe and cleanse the sigil, and place a shield around it and yourself, maybe put a binding on the atheist to prevent any negative energy coming your way to stop him from accidentally working against you.
I wrote up how I do bindings here (but you can research others ways, or work with Meh’mion of the Book of Azazel or other entities instead): Confused as F*** - #10 by Mulberry
I agree with others just keep it all hidden and secret. Every time I’ve shared anything sort of secret, for the most part, backfired. You literally gain nothing but some temporary dopamine about sharing a lot of secret stuff with people.
