I am getting Old and Rusted! What to do?

I just turned 26 few months back. One thing I recently observed is that I am losing my mental vigor and enthusiasm. At one time I could easily gobble up A big fat book in a day. Now it takes time. A lot of it. I am also losing enthusiasm and have BECOMING SLOW, in general. On the upside , have become way more mature and steady/strong in any given situation.

May be Becoming slow and losing enthusiasm is the result of Meditating for hours everyday. And losing will, a sense of doer-ship is associated with progress in this path. At the end U R supposed to float in life, EFFORTLESSLY. But never thought it will also be so DULL. Or may be this is just cuz of aging.

Any idea/suggestions??? What to do? May be some spirit?

Exercise your mind, give it something active to do.
Develop a talent, try a new hobby.
Seems to me like you are becoming bored with life, everything is habitual, maybe do something that is not part of your daily routine.
Life is only as dull as your perception of it.
I don’t think the point of life is to float effortlessly through it, you will always be met with obstacles and challenges.

May be that is the case, It is becoming habitual and Boring. Never thought becoming bore will ever be a problem. Life is strange. Strangely as the path I am in- meditation , killing excitement, Likes and Dislikes as they are said to be the basis of suffering; I am not surprised that this has happened. May be time to get out of the woods and mountains. ( Or may be not, can’t figure out what to do  )

Do something that excites you, something that you don’t normally do.
Maybe a change is needed somewhere in your life, if this is how you have come to feel.
From what I have observed, people need something to stimulate their senses, interact with their mind, giving them something constructive and creative to do with their time and selves.
Boredom and stagnation can occur whenever you no longer challenge yourself, when things become habitual and more like a chore.

Actually meditating does not take away your desire/ will, it aids it. According to psychometric data, people change every 5 years, some schools of thought will say to you that it is expected. As Mrs Karnal had stated, perhaps your boredom with life has something to do with it.

I have this issue too - I’m feeling it’s an excess of Earth energy. I can be overly grounded and that’s not always helpful.
This fits with the advice above ^ … do things that raise the energy of the other elements, especially air, which means change and intellectual challenges, airy stuff like that, with some fire and water for good measure. Physically if you can hike up to high points to mediate that can help too, visit a museum or art gallery and get inspired, that sort of thing.

oh my, what I wouldn’t give to be 26 again. Think how I feel at nearly 40.
Maybe you have a medical issue such as an underachieve thyroid or Anaemia which can make you tired.
If you are healthy after a health check, I recommend getting out in nature and going on a walk if you can in a forrest or near the sea. I find this helps me.
Depression cause the symptoms you describe too so have a good think as 26 is really young

I’m 29 and feel like I’m pushing my 70’s thanks to a chronic disease since forever

OP: I guess it’s part normal. People your age are mostly commited to something mundane like a full time job, family, or simply not starving to death with minimum wage and other liabilities. It’s draining and I don’t know anyone at this age who doesn’t feel like some important doors are closed now (creativity, enthusiasm, patience, et cetera).

Don’t have any ideas, tho. Everytime I hit some kind of before-midlife-crisis-rock-bottom I usually do something I liked when I was a kid. Doens’t make me younger but I like the reproduced feeling of wonder and never ending possibilities and such.

Interesting that U mentioned Earth energy and excessive grounding.! I have been doing daily banishing . It may be related 2 that. Or may be it is cuz of practicing semen retention. U need to get laid to feel happy, get going. thanks for replying .

I walk daily almost 5-6 miles a day without even gasping so don’t think it is Anaemia. DOn’t know what is Underachieved thyroid, gotta google it. ANd i live a hermit’s life so I am always in nature, basically in a mountain/forest ( hilly area ). thanks for replying

I feel you with the chronic illness…I have had one for years and it is like being old in the body years before your time but you still look young so people can’t see how ill you are

Haha, sometimes it’s just the opposite! Most people usually say that I look so pale and really sick and ask me if they can help me with something and I’m just like: “Excuse me??? Here I stand in my finest attire and all I get is this??” But tbh, I’m kinda glad that they don’t see HOW ill I am sometimes

@Goku at 25 your body stops renewing and starts ageing.

At my age (52) I can’t see my Viagra tablets because I’ve forgotten where I’ve put my glasses :sunglasses::grinning:

Meditation will not empair your body system.
Maybe is time to let go of any mind concept/entitie/magick and go deep into Breath, ground yourself and just follow. It is a process of awakening, this mind vigor impairment it will cease when you sync the main body centers.

Fast sequence: 4th into 1st with 2nd and 3rd - 3rd goes into 5th to open 6th (the sync of chakras)

This from what i have experienced and seen only applies when you are truly enjoying the work you are doing.

If you are doing something for anyone but yourself or are doing it out of some kind of belief anchored in fear than the feeling of running outta steam isn’t that out of the ordinary.

But if you are finding yourself trying to avoid or make excuses for not sticking to your spiritual work it could mean you are dealing with the part if your mind that isn’t a fan of change and is resisting it. I have gone through my share of that as well.
