Finding old rare materials

So part of my work and rituals require very Rare materials like nails , vulture eggs , and chains found in the bottom of the Indian Ocean .

How do I acquire such rare items . Or in other words, which spirits can assist in bringing or helping the magician obtain these materials

Cause these authors have Explicitly mentioned the importance of using these materials . And that by no circumstance should they be left out

You probably don’t.

Most of these are not requirements at all but “blinds” - deliberately weird and restrictive things that were put into the old grimoires to hide the actual content from the profane… to the “initiated” they symbolized something completely different, and are not meant to be taken literally.

What modern mages do, as we don’t generally have the cypher to what was supposed to mean what, is figure out WHY YOU are including an element, what it means to you personally as a mage, and substitute something that means the same to you.

None of these things do anything without the intent of their use behind them anyway. So, if you can’t think of why you’re using it, you’re wasting your time and there’s there’s no point keeping it.

They’re cheap in the hardware store, but you mean coffin nails? These are not rare - you can buy on ebay and etsy. You’re intro says you’ve been practicing for 12 years? You could have googled to find nails are easy to get especially in Louisiana. They will have them in your local hoodoo store.

Hear you loud and clear, but I’d still like to know of a spirit that helps in finding these things. I personally believe that your point of view is incorrect . It’s a typical modern day occultists response .Certain objects have spiritual significance irregardless of the practitioners feelings or thought. Same with offerings

Yes nails are easy to get , But I need nails from a breaking wheel /execution wheel which was a medieval torture tool . Can’t find those at your local hardware/hoodoo shop can you now

Overall I appreciate your reply / response but having checked that you’re profile and realised that your a Mod, may I kindly request that you don’t reply to my posts unless of course there’s some rules been broken .

Look for one that includes treat=sure seeking in it’s offices, as this is not a think the medieval monks had in mind, for stated reasons - they knew it was fake.

I’m trying to tell you you don’t. You’re probably not going to find these affordably in any case, this is museum-level stuff.

No, you may not. Please do not try to tell any member here what they cannot post if it doesn’t break rules. However, as most of this should be common sense and I have nothing else to add, I hope you get what you want to hear from someone else.

On this housekeeping point, if you think a post has broken the rules, please do use the flag feature to request moderation review.
It’s probably a good idea for you to review the rules and posting guidelines so you can be familiar with what we do and do not hope to see as far as post quality.

For reference:

The rules are here - please read them.
The posting guidelines are here in the FAQ

I’m not really sure why you would think a member who is a moderator could not respond, and in fact all TL3s are considered moderators and have moderator-lite privileges on this forum, which allows the forum t help manage itself. Perhaps you didn’t want anybody with any tenure here to respond and only wanted newbies to try?

You are asked to respond to content and ideas, not attack individuals because you don’t like what they say. That includes me but we try to uphold that without comment for all members.

If anybody chooses to respond (and the post is not a rules issue), it will stand, and any further requests to have them removed will themselves be removed and the thread closed.

Please always remember this is a discussion forum, not social media, the purpose is to discuss, and we encourage everybody to engage without personal attacks.

Don’t confuse the symbol for the essence. I actually witness the better results happening with occultists who defy the archaic rules of these grimoires and do it off the book, vs those who INSIST these are the only ways to follow the tradition, yet end up year in and out, in a bad, dead end job, no money, lost and devoid of aim, rambling like an egomaniac online with no fruitful gain.

So idk, maybe just, be experimental and see what works for you.

I personally get my best results following my intuition and wise mind
