Whatever spiritual journey you want to take whether thru the religion/occult:- Church or individual magician, make sure your third eye is open to be able to see, communicate and come to agreements with spiritual entity(s). Religions, Occult, Witchcraft or Magick is practiced by either white magician, black magician, white witch/warlock and or black witch/wizard, etc. It’s not late for this path to favor you instead of running back because the church or your family can have witchcrafts that wants to control you so they could probably be doing malicious targeted negative magick so you be miserable and die or either run back to them, I am experiencing same right now but I am trying to gather myself, work on my energetic field and chakras so if your third eye is not already open, your clairvoyance, clairaudiance, etc or your energetic fields blocked and chakras imbalance, try get magic mushroom and take few trip, time and space travel; when you must have felt or see somethings then take that loan and let’s go to Become A Living God website then you pay for you and I to individually hire the Ritual Evocation and Initiation Pacts with the 9 Demonic Gatekeeper/ Ancient Diplomats [Lucifer, Azazel, Amodeus, Abaddon, Ba’al, Beelzebub, Belial, Lucifuge & Satan] to skyrocket our enternal ascent, blessing and making us unstoppable and untouchable; once you have a good star and or destiny, you could start manifesting greatness within a month or two and achieve those physical things you want to.
I don’t know if this will be helpful, but a while back I helped out a friend of a friend (let’s call them Kay) with a place to stay for a while. Kay came from an abusive family and didn’t have much of anything when they left. My friend paid for Kay to leave their family, gave them a place to stay, paid for training so that they could do basic nursing, and helped them get a job. However, Kay did things that my friend couldn’t handle (like bringing home hookups), so Kay ended up living with me. Over the year or so that I knew Kay, I watched them work their way through a bunch of people who were willing to help them with their totally self-destructive behavior and blaming of everyone but themself for what happened to them. It wasn’t that Kay was a bad person or deserved for bad things to happen to them. However, they had mental health issues and were raised by people who ingrained a lot of bad habits in them.
Now, I’m not saying that this is what you are doing. However, it might be worth it to talk to someone who you trust to give you an honest (brutally honest) opinion about what is going on with you. If you don’t have that or don’t want to, take a long look at yourself and ask if you have behaviors that are holding you back.
I can certainly say that the church does a good job of setting up a system for people who want a jealous daddy figure to judge and control them. With the left hand path, I am equal to the demons I work with. I don’t want someone to tell me what to do and how to live so that I can get the things they think I should have. However, that is me. If it isn’t you, then maybe you need something else right now. There are also ways to work with saints and spirits that fit in the Christian system if that suits you better.
i think both practices are helpful in their own ways and have their own purposes in this world . i myself petitioned some christian spirits recently to help me with something .
Shadow work my friend. if u havent done shadow work your gonna repeat the same old patterns over and over again no matter how much magick you do. This seems like a common cold hard case of having unresolved traumas that have programmed your subconscious to repeat the old shit over and over, which shadow work resolves and even then, you can keep your practices and still visit church. If you feel led toward christianity you may very well feel comfortable with practicing magick with The Holy Trinity.
The other thing is, demons especially, will eventually force you to go within yourself and resolve the issues there instead of looking for external resolutions before sorting out the internal problems because in the long-run that never works. This could very well be there way of saying go within and sort your shit.
Regardless of whether it is demons giving you a sign to sort your shit or not, it seems you need shadow work.
These spirits, arch angels, demons, demonic kings, sephirotic rulers are all just aspects of your own psyche. The structure of reality isn’t what you have been taught it to be. You have two hands for a reason, imagine trying to live your life only using your left hand when you got a perfectly good working right hand and thinking you deserve some sort of burger king crown (praise) for your efforts. Auriel is a good and powerful Earth ruling entity to work with, I recommend drawing or printing out Auriel’s sigil and writing your intention across it or beside the sigil on the same sheet of paper. These entities go by many different names depending on the culture but they are the same entity. You can also call upon the Arch Angel Raphael, a master of Air also known to others as Hermes to help you come up with ideas & pathways to earn income. You also need to master your mind, It’s a generic book but ‘The Secret- Rhonda Byrne’ is a very good read to lay the foundation in your subconscious for manifestation. Also ‘Reality Creator 1’ by Tom Deliso and finally ‘Angels & Arch Angels’ by Damien Echols.
The church and every church it draws energy from the positive flow of the Sun God, and its theurgy is immensely powerful because of this. However, this theurgy is weaponized to subjugate the masses. Every religion seeks to do the same. When you realize that there is no God, that everything is a human construct, and that the only “god” is the Great Beast, the spirit of nature that resides within you, then you will free yourself from the chains imposed upon you. Down with the gods, glory to the beasts!
The truth is is its just Beasts masquerading as GOD. Church is just one cover. If you are challenged that is basically just a sort of Turf War. Its kind of like a new dealer coming to town wanting to market their product… and you can’t completely going against them without realizing you are just jeopardizing your own game of being a Beast.
I think that we should go back to answering the core question asked by @strawberryshortcake: why is it some Christian folks who go to church—who may not even be doing any shadow work; who may not be on a “pathworking”; who may be just as “shallow” or “selfish”; who may be “repeating the same patterns”; who may not be any more spiritual; who don’t even banish (LBRP, cast circles, etc.); who don’t even do aura or chakra work—end up w/ more earthly blessings and achievements?
I know folks who’ve been into magick for decades, and now, in their forties or even fifties, are still broke ass! And yes, they’ve made efforts to improve their situation. One of them only recently moved out of the family home and is still so broke ass despite extensive magickal knowledge.

There’s a difference between using an operational model of reality based on observation of what works and being religious. There’s also a difference between philosophy and religion. There’s a difference again between creative fiction and intentional chaos magick, and yet another between psychosis and schizophrenic hallucinations and external astral interaction.
From the bit I’ve read you seem to think about joining the church for it’s benefits, and that’s fine, I won’t ever criticize someone wanting to lead a “normal life” especially after years of abuse, but there’s a few points you may have missed.
To begin with, these benefits, would you truly have obtained them too? It might hurt to think about but these people probably didn’t get to where they are today just because of that, I don’t remember the church giving money and degrees to people or an equal starting line, and sure you can make connections with others but there’s no way they would truly resonate and understand the things you’ve been through, why do I think that? Because they already didn’t when your mother seem to already go there frequently and you clearly know some of them, also a specialty of these people is to judge others for their perceived wrongness.
Now there’s also the dubiousness of the religion itself, where they consider eating a fruit allowing you to differentiate good from evil a wrong or raising you like an obedient sheep for an afterlife under the servitude of a god or maybe worse, being eaten by it like a tasty energy source to sustain it’s dominance over others, with all the repression of others who do not fit into the mold or the invention of things like baptism to catalogue people so they could be taxed by the kingdoms or the remix of old pagan religion into it’s dogma while demonizing others etc.
Now I won’t say that going for the LHP is better, it has a huge load of problems as well, scammers, people cursing others for being slightly wronged, negative spirits/parasites, the lack of results or how hard it can be to interpret their wills and intentions and the bad rep it has all over the world or how they seem to want you to ascend without having your basic needs met.
Nobody can really tell you what’s right for you or not, you can only try your best with what life has handed to you and keep moving forward, you know the saying about lemons and lemonade and hope that eventually you’ll succeed and reach this elusive happiness thing.

I massively agree with this. To really be successful, you have to avoid the dick-measuring contests (things such as flexing power or cursing back and forth and for no real reason), excess of relying on other people’s upg, and misguidance, and just do what’s right for you.
Personally I think the biggest issue is that people end up depending too much on others whether that be humans or spirits or something else, or end up obeying/serving/worshipping the spirits they work with, forgetting that the meaning of the path is to be your own god, forge your own path, make your own mistakes and own progress, gain your own gnosis, and follow your own will.

Exactly. The whole point of magick is to manifest that power in the physical plane, which is the final and most dense form before breaking down. If it’s not manifesting as more physical abundance and influence, then something is missing from the equation.
Well there could be reasons to be ungrateful. Some of these spirits are likely to vampirize just cuz they want to. So what is a devotee gonna do if they don’t like it and the spirit doesn’t stop?
I have found security through a higher power to enforce those boundaries with spirits. Before, it was Yahweh and the angels for me. But now it’s shifting towards Hecate or Kali.
The OP has a fair point. Why not choose a stable spiritual path and just keep living a balanced and virtuous life? After all, I’ve seen MANY more wealthy religious people than i ever have with witches. Because they prioritize phsyical pursuits, harmony, balance, and growth in life – not looking for solutions through sorcery for everything.
This made me question my path at one point too. So i took a more Judiac route with occult practice. But I ended up becoming more attracted to Hecate in the end. (She brings balance as well)
Honesty, you don’t even need to engage with magick to accomplish things. There’s a world of people who come from terrible backgrounds and still become very successful. And also the opposite, and everywhere in between.
I don’t do that for money anymore. I deleted my Tiktok because I was fed up with the occult community and wanted to focus on myself in life from now on.

To be fair, magicians are usually advised to cast the spell or perform the ritual, let it go, and then take due action in the mundane world, not just sit and wait forever more.
Depends on one’s karma, I guess. Some people need much of an extra push and spiritual assistance to break through in life. For instance, vows of poverty, chastity and abstinence taken in a previous lifetime (as a priest, nun or monk) may atrociously impact from one’s present lifetime. And there are generational curses, unhappy ancestors, childhood curses, etc., etc.
But yeah, it doesn’t make sense for mages past 35 years of age to still be broke-ass if they’ve truly exerted much effort in the mundane world!
And one more point… Being a witch is not just about wealth, money and social rank. It’s also about freedom from the restrictions of certain religions and self-deification. Sure, there are many “cafeteria Catholics” or “cafeteria Christians” who cherry-pick, but that does not make sense to everybody. And some people are more aligned w/ the darkness than the light.
Some maybe. But I think what is more accurate is a battle of assuming a position of power within any given Domain. The addage that there is more than one Satan, but an analogy that might be useful is if a Man occupied a peice of land and has spent many generations on it cultivating say an Energetic Vortex…
…and then all of a sudden you come along and start dipping into his Vortex’s power, then you may just finding yourself becoming Vampirized and in a Spiritual Warfare.
But if you lack spiritual senses (which is the case for most people), then you would scream and bleat “Parasites are fucking with me!!! Archon! Archon! Satanist!”

Just goes to show, doing magic doesn’t make one immediately successful if there’s no effort in physical life. A successful life doesn’t drop onto ones lap just because they read a $20 Kindle book on Amazon and did a half assed attempt at a semblance of a ritual, if even that much effort was put in; often a 5 minute visualization or such and such from a “Get Rich with easy evocation” book and expecting riches for it.
