Dimensional Transfer

Many sorcerers, myself included are aware of multiple dimensions that exist all around us. Many of these dimensions can be traveled to astrally and not a few of our beloved spirit friends live in these places.
Being a sci-fi fan myself I’ve always been curious about interdimensional travel. So as a hypothetical let’s consider physical travel between the dimensions using Magickal methods. Now obviously there are a great number of complications here. I think the largest problem is having enough energy to make such a transfer.
So what about y’all? How would you go about doing this?
Keep in mind, it’s just a fun hypothetical!

Might depend on what you mean by “dimension” exactly. It’s not a term I use as I think it’s misleading - everything exists in 3D space, 4D if you count time as a dimension, including all astral, emotional and causal levels of being.

So, I don’t think this is possible, by the definition that what makes the physical “the physical” is exactly the dimension it exists in, which is 3D+time anyway. To move it into another “dimension” magickally would making it not a physical body any more. I.e. having only an energy body. In the model I use which is based in the taoist system, you already have several of those anyway, which work together to make a gestalt human.

So you can take your mind into other “dimensions”, which is actually doing nothing of the sort, your mind is an energy body already capably of interacting and receiving information carried on em waves, and sometimes those waves are from beings that do not have physical bodies.

And this is what astral or soul travel is for.

You don’t need energy to transfer between dimensions. You simply change yourself to be in that dimension. Transmutation of the self though it takes a toll on the body when you settle back. Think more you tune your entire being to resonate in that dimension as you do physically.

I’ve always thought of this as a question of density. The astral realms being less dense therefore no physicality to speak of.
I highly respect the taoist model and use a few things from it myself.
I do think the terminology might be misleading though. Let’s say I’m talking about parallel realities, alternate universes etc. Places that exist somewhat separately.

I might think of these as different “timelines”, in which case what @Eldred_Darkthorn said fits my sense of that. There’s this idea that the myriad decisions we make split off the universe into different tracks based on the options, each universe playing out a different decision, in every combination of decisions available. This is an idea seen in sci-fi novels by the likes of Isaac Asimov, Robert Heinlein and Harry Harrison.

With that idea in mind, what if you want to switch to a universe with a difference decision? If the decision was small and recent, it should be possible by putting yourself into an energy that fully aligns with that universe. I think I’ve done this my accident, with small decisions where a thing I bought online, received, unpacked and put away disappeared and so did the online store and bank records, like a remembered something that never existed in the new universe I was in. (It’s a bit specific and non emotional to be a weird thing to go insane about, it was normal, like my own personal mandela effect and I posted this same story here: Mandela Effect - #2 by Mulberry)

I’ve read stories of people having much bigger effects, one lady said she woke up in a version of the world where she’d never split up from her bf, still worked in her old job, as if she’d not made those decisions.

The other time I’ve seen it is if you walk through portals. San Francisco is full of them just in the streets and you can see minor changes happening if you walk backwards and forwards. The color of a jacket of that guy over there changes, the number of bottles lines up on the ground by the drunk on the floor changes, it’s always minor things where the choice seemed random and unimportant, so the energy shift is negligible.

Generally nobody knows how to do it on purpose. I’ve not been able to recover an older version (to get back that thing I bought) - I tried to remanifest it by will and nothing happened. The San Francisco ones I had some luck going back over my path to pass back through the portal did sometimes work but I looked like a crazy person walking backwards and forwards up and down the road.

I think this has a relationship to manifesting in some ways, of the “if only I’d done it differently” kind, but I have no clue to be honest.
