Wouldn’t be the first time I’ve got knocked on my ass
Though I didn’t mean monotheistic. As only one god. I believe there are multiple gods as did most of early civilization.
Though some were mostly likely more powerful than others

Oh no I get you but I mean I’ve seen people who want to strive to be that monotheistic God but like it seems self defeating if many want that goal and in the instance many achieve it, then what? lol a war?
Though I do believe that also, so I do see your point there 100%
I mean… I guess it would be war. Just like kings battling for a country. They both want to be the Supreme. I suppose it would be like that.
I guess like Muslims and Christians who want only one god.
(Let’s not political this is just an example)
True, though rip reality, though this was a pretty great conversation I had with you, thank you for that honestly lol.
Now I have to disappear for a moment to finish a scan I owe someone lol.
We did have a great debate going
Thanks
I just got online, read your post. I have not ready any replies to you yet, but I will. You are amazing. I really enjoyed reading what you wrote and something I think a lot of people needed to hear.
Right now you got 101 replies so it’s gonna take me a few.
Thanks for being real and thanks for being you

thanks !!
Watch out for Jim Bob the thunder god!
You know, I have sent some time thinking about this. On a near daily, I have individuals outside of this forum who I used to run with try to pry why I am involved even on the minimum amount I am. Constantly, I am presented with what they call evidence on how the whole group is a joke, mainly due to how they perceive EA. I usually jokingly reply that Crowley was viewed to be just as mad, yet he is more credible for what reason? Hell, how about anyone from any order or path for that matter? As I often say “If you are one step of the herd, people view you as a genius. If you are two steps, people view you as a madman.”
I digress to get to my point. Do I believe I can become a literal god? I don’t know. I won’t know until I continue to walk on this maddening path I have set myself on. Can i become like the gods? I believe it is possible. The gods act the way they do because they are aware of who they are and where they can apply their strengths to get what is needed done. So, as of right now, becoming a living god is to remove the mask i wear for myself, learn everything I can about who I am and where I play a role in the grand pattern we call life and apply my will through my strengths to change outcomes into my life. That does not seem as crazy of a goal as many outside of BALG assume it to be.
Right on.
I think your doing great!
Good shit @Eye_of_Ra
Thanks
Without first establishing what is meant by “god”, it would be extremely difficult to even have a meaningful debate or discussion on this subject. I assume most are relating “god” to the 2nd definition below, but until that’s established many may be talking about different things. And keep in mind, when it refers to “male” in the 2nd definition, it simply means the female aspect would be “goddess” and not because it’s a “man” thing to be a god. So I’d try not to get hung up on that verbiage too much.
god
(gŏd)
Noun
God (Uppercase “G”)
a. A being conceived as the perfect, omnipotent, omniscient originator and ruler of the universe, the principal object of faith and worship in monotheistic religions.
b. The force, effect, or a manifestation or aspect of this being.
A being of supernatural powers or attributes, believed in and worshiped by a people, especially a male deity thought to control some part of nature or reality.
An image of a supernatural being; an idol.
One that is worshiped, idealized, or followed: Money was their god.
And since we are consciously navigating in a physical reality where things are measured and are supposed to be (natural laws), I don’t see anything wrong with trying to intellectualize or asking these questions, even if the answers to these questions defy those natural laws.
Sometimes understanding takes steps. At first you may need to relate a topic to something tangible that you already understand. And while it may not be entirely accurate, it can lead you to greater understanding later on when you are ready and open to a higher understanding. So please be courteous to your fellow humans here. Everyone is on a different level of understanding. And even those of us who may think we have gathered sufficient knowledge can sometimes learn a thing or two from a a complete newcomer to the great work/mysteries and be humbled in the process. I know I am each and every day.
Either way you want to define it. Here again your own mind of what you can perceive or not perceive has limited you.
You have needed to break everything down and put it back into those nice boxes you talk about.
I see that it could be debated without those boxes as @anon48079295 and I did for over 100 comments. So it is possible to debate without having said boxes.
But there will always be such.
I never said there was anything wrong asking the questions. Feel free to question everything. How else do you get answers
I don’t see where I was once in rude in this thread.
No one has left here upset as far as I know.
So I’m not real sure why that comment was made.
I was kind of wondering the same to be honest.
God create the universe so i assume. So the phrase to become a living god means that one have develop one’s capacity through magick or other means to create one’s life according to one’s wishes through magick. To influence the universe to allow one’s goal to manifest. Such would be attracting love/sex from another. Money. Even baneful magick to torture or hurt others. Whatever you can think of, you in some way manifest it through ritual magick. And you get your results. That’s what it means to become a living god. You have power to influence your life in a way that gets you your desired outcome. Because you create your life the way you want. To get that result means you have become a living god.
PREACH!
I TOLD you this forum needs you, hon!
So I posted this back in 2016:
The PGM and arguably older forms of yoga all have this same idea, that god is something you bring into yourself and operate, yes with training of course, and hard work, but not some sky-dwelling being of a fundamentally different nature to ourselves.
This is why words matter, it’s easy to mis-label a thing then end up letting that label ALONE convince you it’s not for you.
