Oh wow I forgot all about that movie. Soooo good.
You probably like Constantine too.

Yes, Constantine is a great movie.
Also watch the prophecy (all parts of it)
Not per se sure is it occult,or driven agenda, but there is angels and devils, heres some clips of it
Yes it is! Knowing this made my second watch even more enjoyable. I love when occult movies have references only a particular audience will pick up on.
Here is the documentary i was talking about on Crowley if anyone is interested.
At the moment 2 titles spring to mind, Excalibur (or anyways “containing occult elements”) and an Italian movie, Cagliostro… Sometimes filmmakers are able to portray magicians as guardians and sages
Such a dark movie, gave me the creeps! and the acting by both actors was so raw and upfront!
Because its my list!
lol.
With no occult substance? mm
I didn’t like the whole movie, the demons looked like zombies and the angel was ok
Haha yes the ending I have to agree. The “demons” could have been designed better and the angel just looked a little…goofy? I did laugh at the design of them my first watch and had a “wtf is that thing expression” to my face. But I focus on the sentiment of it instead. Lol. Still a good movie.
I don’t think The Ritual was mentioned here yet. The way they designed the entity in that movie was pretty cool. Apparently he’s referred to as Moder, child of Loki? I’ve never heard of him before or did much research after seeing this movie. I think from memory the movie is based on Swedish folklore as well. Oh and the scene in the chapel with the skeletons. Eeee!
The Ritual from Netflix is pretty cool. The beast is actually a Jotun, based on the Lovrecraftian Black Goat of the Forest.
I would also recommand Midommar.
Pretty much most of what you listed.
Also the love witch is pretty culty and loaded with satanic imagery.
Yes, that’s a great little flick! The creature effects were amazing!
Best ever man! Two thumbs up. Where did you even find this. I tried netflix but came up with nothing.
In The Mouth of Madness by John Carpenter
This reminds me I should rent ‘Dinner with the Alchemist’. I remember hearing about it a while back but never had the chance to watch it.
Also I’m going to add - David Lynch is an expert at injecting the occult into stories. Eraserhead stands out as rather obvious in its themes.
Also it almost doesn’t count (for-us-by-us, not Hollywood), Carrol Runyon’s ‘Beyond Lemuria’.
Heard a Rolling Stones song on the music topic and I can’t hear The Rolling Stones without thinking of that movie.
I definitely saw that episode on TV and I think I have it recorded somewhere on VHS…
