There’s another hypothesis that’s gaining traction of Yahweh as a metallurgy deity. I’ve seen this theory pop up a few times, and it’s incredibly interesting.

What about church attendance makes all successful invocation of a god less likely?

I never said it makes it less likely. But it doesn’t help much either, if you don’t out any effort in trying to really contact your God and talk to him.
