This is more so a folkmagick sort of thing
obviously a lot of saints are well known Mary, Expedite, Santa Muerte etc.
But what if someone where to work with like lets say the philosopher Heralictus as if he was a saint
This is basically what necromancy is all about.
The best for info on necromancy to work with the dead is from Sorceress Cagliastro imo, her book Blood Sorcery, vol2 I think, provides detailed set ups for temporary and permanent portals to bring specific shades into your space.
I wouldn’t recommend invoking the dead. They can want to take over and live again at your expense, and generally get more parasitic about it. I’d say evoke only, at least at first, until you get to know someone and trust them. They’re human and act like humans.

I’d second what Mulberry said. There are dead people who will try to take over you to live out vices they had while alive, such as alcoholism or gambling.
