Why Summon Entities?

New Magician Help & Introductions

I have been researching this topic for a while now. Why summon entities? I see that on this site, some people summon demons to help with focus or for protection or other things like romance (love spells section). And I also see that most people summon Fae for help with gardening and protection (feel free to correct me since that was one example I saw), but to be careful with Fae since they are kind of tricky and have different moral codes than us. So I understand the appeal of summoning an entity. But what if you just want to summon an entity out of curiosity? I have read that demons can be in many places at once. I feel that I would summon an entity just out of curiosity and a want for more knowledge of their world.

So, I suppose my question in summary is: is it okay to summon an entity just out of curiosity?

It depends on the entity. People have reported getting either no contact or a sense of frustration from the entity, like they wasted the entities time if they didn’t have anything at all and only wanted to summon fire that same of summoning, with nothing to at least discuss.

Asking for Intel on how the entity works and what live is like for them I think counts as valid reasons to contact though. There’s a long tradition of working with entities for learning and getting information.
