There is this person I know who is malicious and I did a ritual in front of a candle with intent to rip off the mask of that individual and have his true personality exposed. Truthfully, I did not ask him to suffer but if it means to have him heed elsewhere then so be it.
Where have I gone wrong? He still shows up.
Let’s say this is college campus/work. I won’t mention the setting but it is a setting where we are required to see each other on a day to day.
Are they highly narcissistic? Narcs are notoriously hard to affect with magick. We have many posts from people about them for this reason. And/or if they have a large following, then their fans protect them by being part of a shared fantasy that holds their reality in place.
It’s possible but one ritual is usually not enough.
I’d suggest a layered multi-ritual approach, maybe do the ritual 7 nights in a row, and failing that go for 33.
Or try a different approach that doesn’t affect them directly but alters the environment in your favor, like affect the people you need to see through his deceptions.
I am not sure if the individual is a narcissist but this person definitely projects and hides it behind humor. It feels like gaslighting but in the eyes of others it is seen as “blunt” or “just joking.” At least that is the personality type I got from the individual. I feel heavy around the person and not sure why. Also it is the personality type where they can change the crowd’s views on you. Not saying that is my situation but I witnessed that for someone else.
I don’t know if this would be considered narcissism. But I know for sure that this individual knows how to gain likes and is manipulative. I don’t feel that he is stupid though. I feel that knows what he is doing.
But this may be the case. It makes sense. I was 100% focused with my ritual.
The only difference was my interaction with the individual and he lowered his guard when I stopped smiling at his “jokes.”
But like you said, yes. He knows how to gain appreciation from people. And I feel I may need a different ritual and multiple.
Might not be, the main thing magically is the presence of a deeply self protective layer in the psyche that works off a fantasy version of the self and manipulates others into playing along with that fantasy.
Because this natural protection is already very string, and you don’t know who the person really is, (some say there’s nobody in there, some say they’re regressed to the age of the child they were when damaged to be like this) it’s hard to target them and make it stick.
“Covert”, also called “insecure” or “shy” narcs also exist. They need attention and admiration and will manipulate to get it, then discard people and even try to backstab them when they stop giving it.
In reality there’s no difference, they just go through cycles of being grandiose and then covert depending on how confident they feel in their supply.
Either way they are experts at keeping themselves separate and safe behind enormous psychic walls.
Have you done any divination on why your spell isn’t working?
Magic is influence, not a direct cause. If that person has someone praying for them, or their ancestors left behind merit/blessings to protect them, then your magic will not work or will be greatly weakened. That’s why you have to understand that magic works on probability, not ‘cast a spell and it instantly happens 100% of the time.
That does not make sense. They have a fragile ego. That’s why they fear indifference.

The word “narcissist” is thrown around much too freely these days, but actual clinical narcissism is a serious psychological disorder. It has nothing to do with ego. In fact, their ego is practically bulletproof because of their delusions of invincibility. Any failures they experience are always the fault of everyone else.
Yeah the timing felt right at the time but now I think it was off.
Or worse the guy could be a full blown Machiavellian in which case any attempt to expose him will have well guarded fail-safes. If that is the case the only thing that will work is to get him to destroy himself.
I would suggest researching the difference between narcissistic, Machiavellian, and psychopathic in order to figure out what you are really dealing with here. . .
If you have low energy spells then I suggest powering them in other ways like physical movement sunlight moonlight or pre energy charged powders. But I don’t think that this is the case I feel as if your intention wasn’t direct enough. i suggest to make your intention more direct and focus on what you want them to do. If this isn’t the case you can switch up what element you work with or the spiritual order of your spells. Sometimes it’s not always best to purify and banish energy first.
