Well if they will still be walking about .wont be in flesh and bones

If there won’t, be intervention from external beings… Trust me humans, will end, themselves, come 2030…bookmark this

There’s no factual evidence to support the claim so you can see why I can’t just “trust you” it goes in the pile with the rest of the everyday people who pick a year and call it humanity’s end lol.

Zombies?

My personal opinion, as someone who has been on this forum for many years, is that within the next ten years or so the forum will be officially closed by its founders and archived, as it will have served its purpose.

Can you clarify what you mean by it will have served it’s purpose. I always thought it’s purpose was a place to help humanity ascend through the use of magic and where open discussion of such magic could take place. If that’s the case there will always be a need for such a place.

Exactly. This forum has set a standard that others have tried to emulate. My opinion is that, eventually, its place will be taken by another, even better, meeting place.

I wonder if there would be an option to switch ownership of the forum upon when the founders wish to close it and keep it running under a different name. Only time would tell.

But it would likely be easier to start a forum through discourse from scratch as there would be no legality issues

Succession of Digital ownership is a relatively new area, but it can happen. For example Facebook I believe has an option of what should happen to your account when you die

Edit: I’m curious as to how many of us will be around to see the end.

Right, it would be in the current owners court in what they want to do with it.

I’ve only ever met up with one person I met on the internet that more than local Pagan meet up and it went crazy.

This forum’s Discourse software is the best in the game right now and anyone starting ANY forum on ANY topic is well advised to put it on Discourse, IMO, it blows the socks off anything else. It has chat capability in the realtime updating of a thread without using “refresh,” advanced use of PM to make group chats, intuitive formatting for posts that want images or video, and the way it permits member-moderation and has an AI-like interface is just incredible.

Discord is a chat platform suitable for bantz and drama, afaik it can’t deliver on BOTH chat and nicely formatted tutorials etc like we have here, and delivering them nicely for search engines.

I am a big evangelist, no pun intended, for Discourse, it really is the bee’s knees! :sunny:

Thank you for correcting me, as I have been mixing up my words in general as of late lol. I am not sure what the deal with that has been. Discourse was what I had meant.

I think you should get shares in discourse. One of my philosophies is get shares in things you are a fan of. Hence why I have shares in Coca Cola lol

Nice, might have to do that myself if that is the case. Currently I only have some in netflix and Tesla I bought when they were $5 each.

Nice!!! Yeah they have really grown over the years

Always good to invest in things before they see a massive growth spurt.

Probably explains why a lot of forums use discourse. I’ve seen this forum use it but I’ve also seen finance forums use it and hell even one cooking forum. The fact that it’s open source probably helps too. Also sorry for the double post

I find xenforo to be a better platform in terms of forum software, but to transfer the person would need to be ready to take up the payments required to keep it standing.
