Seeing how even mundane people have experiences with ghosts, Iām confused by the small amount of posts on BALG dealing with ghosts. Have they been removed or are they frowned upon, for some reason? Is it just too common of a thing for magicians on here to give much thought to?

Iāve only seen one and I canāt be certain it was a ghost. I was about 10 years old and I saw a little boy in our driveway, but I could see through him and he had a glow about him. As hard as I tried, I couldnāt make out his face, I stared but itās like something was stopping me from seeing.

Itās hard to say. I wonder about it from time to time. I get the feeling sometimes that the entities Iāve contacted, some anyhow, have been around me for a long time. Maybe it was one of them trying to get my attention. At the time though, I just wanted to forget about it.

few weeks ago the ghost of my mother contacted me but didnt made a topic from it cause i thought it was not done and abit to personal.
But honestly, beside my mother and the dead husband of a medium i once knew, a man who was active on this forum in the past, i dont think iāve worked with ghosts of other people, dont even know how or whyā¦ yet.
maybe in the futureā¦

Hmmm, Iām wondering if Iāve had more experiences with ghosts than most people. 
I seem to have some sort of connection to death & the dead. There were ghosts in my house for as long as I can remember, up until I banished them as a teen, with the help of a little army of my dead pets (which I was surprised worked, lol). Besides the usual āthing in the basementā (which I remember identifying as an Earth Elemental, though I canāt remember my reasoning for deciding that), a poltergeist joined the house in my teens (after LOTS of Ouija board sessions/seances.) I think the poltergeist was partially spiritual & partially from my emotions (you guys know that theory). Iāve always easily received messages from spirits. I was at least partially possessed by the spirit of a dead young woman for awhile in my teens. Hmmm.
Both my grandparents came to me in dreams after their passing (though I know thatās not unusual). My cousin also communicated with me in waking life. An acquaintance I knew, who committed suicide, came to me in a dream not long after his death & asked me for help on whether to cross over or not. When I asked him why he came to me, he said, āYouāre supposed to know about these things.ā I saw portals to spirit realms in my dream & never knew what they were supposed to look like before that. Now with Santa Muerte coming to me & my grandma visiting multiple times, I wonder what it means. Ghosts seem to be drawn to me. @Lady_Eva, why did you start your psychopomp work? Did ghosts start seeking you out for help? Hmmmm. Necromancers, how about you all?
I think they are. Another plausible reason for the low amount of ghost posts.

I think working with spirits of dead people with whom you have had no connection or energetic link is a total diffrent aproach than for example with deities.
Way harder and more dangourous in some way or another.

Itās definitely different in some respects, but I donāt think itās harder or more dangerous, tbh. In fact, Iād say itās easier.

In my opinionā¦ Working with the dead, while itās much easier, it is not as flexible as working with other spirits. You have to do it with your eyes wide open! All communication and anything they do, they do it in real lifeā¦ good or harm. Not in the astral where people can pretend to be Gods of the universe.
So they have to take off all false psychologically pleasant masks, when theyāre dealing with the dead. You are who you are and they are what they are. No B.S
Thatās like a heart attack for the ego, which is the only thing many magicians have. And more realistic kind of magick for most practitioners to handle, especially beginners of course. Thatās why in my opinion itās not āasā popular as it should be.

Yes exactly. I have two of them with me since childhood. An ancient one and a lady. I got more ass-kicking from them than anybody else in my life. And learned a lot from them, still to this day. They donāt fool around. It is what it isā¦ even if you donāt like it or donāt want to hear it. They were never wrong. Not once.
I practice and experiment with all kinds of magickā¦ but when it comes to working with the deadā¦ itās like getting into a scared temple. I love it
