This is because there are indeed negative entities, demons or not.
As a medium (bad medium) I can perceive a class of entities that are completely made of negativity.
They are like a battery that only can take negative charge. They feed only on negativity. It is their nature. I can see them feeding on human suffering.
We humans tend to humanize all entities. We anthropormized them, we give them a gender and we think that they behave like humans.
Humans are capable of both, good and bad. These things are not. They have no gender. Their spirit form is not human. They only take negativity.
I suspect any positive charge will short circuit them somehow. Meaning, no kindness but they know how to trick humans.

Yes we do tend to anthropomorphize them. But in my experience positivity doesn’t short circuit them or cancel them out. For instance (and to answer the OP’s question) working with Astoroth righ after digging deep within my shadow side and not feeling very kindly towards myself really helps me to process all those feelings and see those parts in a different light and to like myself again. Feeling that same sense of positivity, gratitude and love towards Astoroth seems to only strengthen the presence and bond during those rituals.

I think a demons temperament towards people will vary just like how people behave differently around various people.

Explains why I constantly feel pain ever since I started working with this demon. I got confirmation from a trusted medium they are the ones causing my suffering and negative thoughts. But it’s weird, they are kind to me and protect me from troubles yet I feel so negative and in pain.

I don’t have too much interaction with them, sometimes I just talk with them in rituals sessions, different from Lucifer, who I talk to almost like a friend, but a very wise and mysterious friend. For me, he was the most kind and caring for my thoughts, he’d listen sometimes to my ideas and crazy philosophies that I create in my mind. Sometimes he gives his opinion, just like a friend, but his answers always come in the end with “do what you thinks is better for yourself”. Other times, regarding which decisions and paths I should take in my life, he says that he doesn’t know, and I’m the only one that can answer it.
I haven’t seen this happen but it’s what my gut tells me.
We humans are capable of good and bad. Some philosophies preach that we are a balanced charge of both. Sometimes negativity will make you feel better.
Maybe they’re just protecting their food.
By who, and why do you give a shit what they think? They’re obviously not very good mages, and you want to be a mage right? So why are you paying attention to those who are not on your path?
Ever one is an individual. They’re not a monolithic body that you can apply sweeping characterizations to. The “nicest” in my experience are Ebuhuel and Bael. Friendly, forthcoming,
But being kind or nice isn’t always the most helpful thing a being can do. So it’s not my main criteria for working with anyone, with or without a body. I almost never work with Bael as nice as he is.
And is this your personal experience? I don’t see this the same way and I wonder where you got it from any why?
You seem to be talking theoreticallym and that’s not what this forium is for. Are you relying on the opinions of religions that actively attempt to disallow people from empowering themselves by talking to entities that aren’t on their approved list? Because if that’s the case I’m calling this out as simple minded preachy JCI brainwashing bullshit.

Sounds like resonance. It’s a bit like empathy. They could have energy that is matching a pain inside you, and this amplifies the pain in you so you feel it. I would recommend taking the opportunity to work on exactly where that’s coming from while you can feel it. You can only work on something you can sense.
These beings have pain too, if you pay attention and are sensitive you can sense it and it does affect you: but it’s not always about you either.

What people newwer t magick also really need to know, is that intention, expectations and what you feel and thing massively affects your magick.
if you THINK they’re bad, you MAKE that true. and It’s part of how magick works.
So it becomes like listening to nasty gossip about a person and believing it without ever going up to that person and asking for their side of the story.
Personally REALLY don’t like it when people talk smack about other behind their backs. My relationship with a person is between them and me and nobody else. Providing facts is one thing, “I lent him a book and he later kept it and said I never gave it to him”. I don’t need the emotional sidestory about that, I will make my own mind up based on the data, and probably not lend the guy any book even though there’s no way to prove it, I don’t need to act like a schoolgirl and get weird about it, go around badmouthing him and break up my friendship. I’ll manage the relationship as suits me and nobody else.
@Shamn based on your other posts about reddit my feeling is you don’t do this: you are very affected by what other people think, you got ruffled at a post being downvoted for example. My best advice is grow a thicker skin and remember what they people thing is not about you, it’s about them. They are who they are and they are allowed to think what they think without that meaning you have to think they are right.
Examine your data and make up your own mind and stay mentally and emotionally even, not buffeted about by other people’s opinions. In the end the only persons opinions who should matter to you are your own.
You don’t have to be stubborn, you want to be intelligent and thoughtful. When you know exactly WHY you think what you think, you can see that others have no idea why they think things, and that helps a lot. Always have a good reason (a reasoned argument) why you think a thing, not an emotional reaction.
If this is you, in my mind this is not just ok, it’s cool af. Dare to be different, dare to let others be different and don’t take any of it personally.
Okay so, if you want to work with “demons”, and find out who you vibe with, just do it. Who cares what a bunch of inexperienced, fear mongering, weak-hearted pussies think?
And I say inexperienced, because you’re the practitioner, and any mage doing any magick with entities know, if you have an issue, the first thing you did was get the skills to finish anything anyone tried to start. Right? Know how to banish and cleanse and do astral combat? You do that first not after you have an issue. N00bs lol.

No I don’t, you’re totally wrong. This is my personal experience. The most common entity I perceive is the one I described. They are like a battery of negative charge.
Once one of these things got in my head. I let it stay there for a while because the experience became visual and I was fascinated watching its shape, its color and what it was doing.
BTW, this thing killed somebody but that’s a long story. I plan to write it someday, somewhere.

Real demons exist. Real malignant, malicious, intelligences… Just because one little religion used the term to refer to anything that wasn’t part of its own cosmology does not negate this fact. It’s the height of arrogance to say that actual demons don’t exist simply because one specific group of believers applied the term to the gods of their enemies. Every culture in the world has their own word for such beings.

Ok so what entity exactly and what happened? “this thing killed somebody but that’s a long story” why should ew believe you, or your interpretation? You are new to magick , you intro says you have no experience and haven’t exactly showed proficiently in understanding anything about what it is that we do here. What are you talking about?
You are giving us nothing real to make any kind of assessment. Based on everything I just said, there’s no way anyone should take this seriously.
Then why are you responding on a post that asked about “demons” specifically? And why are you posting off topic when the ask was about kind ones?
I’m not disputing that negative entities exist, but what was said was a sweeping generalization implying the OPS ask is futile, which it is not as evidenced by the personal experience of all the people in the members success threads.

A few people managed to keep to the point, and @badMedium you went off on the side concept that was the background of the post not the point of the post.
But you have no experience to lean on to answer the actual question it seems.

Vual. He’s extremely sweet, polite, and sensitive — gentler energy too. He really did not seem like a demon at all, like stereotypically in personality or energy, despite visually appearing quite a bit on the monstrous side to me. I’m pretty used to demons having some really intense energy, and while Vual can def make a strong presence for sure, he tries not to be overbearing, like at all. Or when his energy is strong, it’s strong in a calming way.
If Vual is sweet and sensitive, Belial is the exact opposite in personality. Though as brash and insensitive and as much of a shit-talker as Belial can be, he too is extremely kind. My physical health has put me through absolute hell for decades and I would not be here, never mind with my sanity, if it wasn’t for Belial. He has always been there for me in ways that no other entity or person has been. He conveyed to me, in a way that I could understand, when I was a child no less, what was wrong — and you know what, after all those decades of misdiagnoses and medical mistreatment, he was right. 100% right. So many times over those years I ignored him or pushed him away and he’s stuck around with patient distance despite that. Belial is incredible, and yes, I have to say beyond kind for what he’s done for me.
And by proxy, Lucifer too. He answered me a long time ago and sent who he knew would be the best demon to help me. And also for sending others to help my siblings, my mom, etc. even if they haven’t connected in turn.
This is so true and it’s meaningful that you’ve brought this up. I don’t know how much I feel comfortable sharing on that, because I’d picked up on some of that pain so early on and it’s a bit much to get into, but serving can be mutual. I think there’s a reason why particular entities and people are drawn to one another, especially with demons because so often there’s some painful motivator going on. Tuning with that can strengthen goals for both and really deepen the human-spirit relationship — sometimes the exact nature of the goals differ, but exploring with a little more depth, it’s it’s not usual to find that there is often some common aspect tying these things together.

@Shamn it depends on what you mean as kind. This is such an ambiguous term. Kind in what context.
Without further information as to what you want in your journey it’s impossible to say which demon is kind.
Are you looking for a demon that is nurturing to support you on your journey and mentor you or are you looking for a demon being cruel to be kind such as a demon to break you down to build you back up? As always in magic context matters.
@BadMedium seems that demons being negative entities as you stated is bordering on UPG / dogma.
Yes demons kill and can be malicious, magicians ask them to kill all the time, one only needs to look at the various baneful magic threads we have on here to see that.
I think our old mod Lady Eva mentioned having to use a blasting rod against a demon once.
Does that mean they are inherently bad entities. No it does not. They have been set a task and have merely carried it out.
A demons personality is arguably as nuanced as a humans and because they communicate differently from a human it’s easy for things to get lost in translation particularly for the inexperienced.
To give you an example of a nuanced personality when I first summoned Belial he did not want to work with me, but i later summoned him for another task and I have a circa 50-60% success rate with him.
Another example is Zagan. Zagan keeps making my partner sick everytime my partner pisses me off.
There is a topic on here about Hecate. A large proportion of posters disagreed with the OP on that topic where the OP found Hecate dominating and domineering and a bit childish. Most posters disagreed but I believe @Mulberry had a similar experience with Hecate as the OP. The point here is that each individual poster is going to have a different experience with each entity.
You are an individual and your individual experience with these entities is unique to you. Reach out to these entities and find out what works and what doesn’t for you 
But to tar all entities with the same brush is not only wrong but bad magic

Well, applying the classical term demons to what I work with, the infernal divine, is typically what most do, so here are the ones I have found the kindest in my experiences.
Contrary to a lot of written works, Belial is amazingly compasionate and kind. He is stern when needed, however he is kind and loving.
Lucifer is also a kind one. I find they tend to be a bit more standoffish until required to be in the forefront.
Na’ahmah is always a lovely deity to deal with, she is beauty and kindness. She is the whispers between lovers over their pillows.
Anyways, these three hold the highest kindness in terms of classical demons, that I work woth consistently anyways. I have never had a bad experience that wasn’t brought on by my own misconceptions and misgivings when approaching a deity.
(Two more lovely deities who aren’t classical demons but are a part of the infernal divine are the ladies Hekate and Arachne. They are loving and amazing.)
Either which way, everyone will interact with different energies and deities in their own unique way. We all have our own energetic finger prints as it were, and certain energies don’t mesh well with is.

I think you’re right, maybe their emotions is feeding in to me? I believed originally that I have a bond with them where I get some of their energy. They often send me the heartbreak and sadness/pain card, so I think it’s that.
