What ring or necklace is good for protection?

Hi I’m looking for a ring and also a necklace maybe a amulet mainly for protection; what would you recommend?

It doesn’t matter what it looks like, once you get it you would do best to enchant it yourself.

While on a recent trip, I was wandering around and thinking about getting some sort of talisman for protection, since I have started taking my work with the Ars Goetia quite seriously in recent months.

As I was trying to figure out what would be a good talisman, I found a necklace hanging on a wall. It wasn’t an expensive, luxurious necklace, just a golden one with tiny coins with a symbol engraved on them and blue beads. I thought it must have meant something that I found it at that moment and place, so I took advantage of the intense sun of that day, put the necklace in the sun and chanted Malphas’ enn for about 10 minutes. Now I wear it almost daily.

I’m writing this story to let you know that what matters is that the ring, necklace or whatever you decide to use as a talisman is meaningful to you, and that you consagrate it to the spirit of your choice.

This is the working itself, where you placed your energy and intention into the object, this is called enchanting or sometimes consecration.

Having it have sentimental value is certainly helpful, your feeling about it should be positive or you might resent it or something, and produce negative emotions that muddy the energy. But you can buy any pretty thing including a normal looking pendent that’s steathy and won’t attract suspicion or awkward question and get the same effect.

This is optional. You can enchant a thing using your own authority as a mage, and in most cases I believe this works better.
Reason being, if you feel you are too weak to do the work yourself, you are self sabotaging and actively making it so. The use of religious enns magnifies this aspect of weakness.
It is ideal, imo, for a mage to “stand in their power”, not ask for help for things they can easily do themselves.

Accept and give yourself permission as a creator being that you can do such basic work yourself and so it is.

Thus, I would say what matters, magickally speaking, is the intention in your enchanting that it will protect you. Intention is everything. The rest is window dressing.
