What do lillith/ moloch want with children?

Moloch isnt actually a demon it was actually just name of a certain type of sacrificial practice that was used in old testemant yahweh worship.

Then to move away that this practice was done they created a scape goat pagan demon/god named moloch to take the blame for the old practice.

As for Lilith again depends on the mythos, if we are going that she’s based on Lilitu & Lamashtu. It was more of a matter of fate then anything else.

Man, Woman Or Child could be taken at anytime. She is literally wild aspect of nature and wilderness. Plus in this age medicine was scarce and health issues would have run rampant not mention wild animals sneaking into dwellings looking for food and mauling its inhabitants.

So naturally because these things are associated with the wild and haunted outside world instead of the safety of the village or city. So she would get the blame for sneaking into it, even though they built on her territory lol. Then that would get carried over to the Lilith in the judaic version.

If were talking the Mandean Zah’ril Lilith shes the angel of conception and protecter of children so that would mean shes the angel of death for them too.

Since gods and demons seem to have evolved with the times these things are not as associated with them as they once used to be.

Good points, much of the mythology is deluded and especially in the case of one religion reporting on mythology outside of their current is always going to be a little tainted. Sometimes even outright meant to insult the outsiders and scare the insiders.
So in all cases. Check the sources, consider their motives and expect it to be only half of the truth.

Human sacrifices are an interesting thing. I can’t judge about the practice in ancient times. Different times, different cultures, different views on life and death. It wouldn’t be fair to look at that through the lens of modern times.
Nowadays, I think in most cases it’s not exactly something someone’s gods demand, but an expression of the practitioner’s misconceptions, delusions and imbalance.

V.K. Jehannum on the matter:

“According to what my friends and I have channeled, Moloch’s devotees did not sacrifice children to him in real life, and my research has led me to conclude that there is no archaeological evidence for the Bible’s slander of the deity. The Bible (Ezekiel 20:26) does delineate there being a mass infant sacrifice to Jehovah by the Israelites (as mandated by the god of Abraham), and I feel that the JCI simply projected the horrors of their own faith unto Moloch.”

"Molock is a god of literature, writing, poetry, wisdom, and knowledge. He is considered to have been chthonic and he can impart intelligence and physical fitness. He rules over alchemy and transforms the witch into whoever she wants to become. He rules combat, war, terr*r, violence, vengeance, cruelty, the art of street/practical self defense, street fights, warriorhood, and firearms. He loves anything which glorifies warfare, and he told me to read the Iliad once. He’s a huge fan of the gaming industry, particularly the street fighter type games.

Moloch is the god of fire, whose flames are both purifying and destructive. He can be called forth for prosperity, authority, and respect. He rules all manner of sorcery, divination, protection, and sanguine vampyrism, and he inspires the witch to self-improvement and discipline. Originating as a fertility god, he generally appears with the head of an ox, bull, or cow, and his horns, sometimes said to be a ram’s horns, are said to represent power. He can modify the astral double with horns which are useful in combat. He rules over the deep sea, and he’s been described as a storm god and a plague bringer as well."

Moloch is the mistranslation of the Ammorite Milcom, which is an actual god. He was national god with alot of similarities to El. So they most likey were Syncretised and became a sort of aspect of El eventually.

Similar thing happened with Lamashtu they mistranslatated her name as Labartu at first.

So yeah Moloch feels like being 100% an egregore based on poorly understanding and propagandia.

Another reason people get confused is that there are three Phonecian gods. One of sun and one moon known as Adrammelech & Anammelech. That also have the melech aspects in there name. The other is Melqart which is a god of wisdom, knowledge and sea. V.K seem to link him to this god Malqart.

So you can see why people get confused and lumped them together. So mix the 4 gods plus Moloch scapegoat you get modern version of him.

Another point of confusion is the conflation with the term “moleck sacrifice”, which was a type of sacrifice done in dire circumstance, like famine and war, asking the god - any god at the time including yhwh, el, mot, nergal and the rest - to spare the people from famine.

here IS no “Moloch” entity - there’s no evidence for such a god, it was always in connection to molech sacrifice to other gods - he’s basically a LARP as far as I understand it these days.

The sacrifice of the first born was very uncommon, for obvious reasons, and was the ultimate top tier form of sacrifice. usually animals or grain were given instead. People were dying en masse for that level of sacrifice.

The whole thing is garbled history mythologized and then rewritten into fantastical and twisted versions that are just more romantic and attractive or edgy for modern ears. Mages that just run with modern fear-based fiction are building castles in the air, imo - it’s imaginary and egregoric. T

Lilith and Moloch never wanted child sacrifices that’s something humans did

Because Blood and Blood Sacrifices gives them Power, Power to work miracles, Blood is the highest form of payment, blood is spiritual currency, Search J.S Garret “Thoughts on Blood Sacrifice” Video on YouTube

What Book are you reading? I read the Arse Goetia Aka Lesser Key Of Solomon There are 72 Spirits listed in the Lesser Key of Solomon and Moloch is not one of them, He’s not a Goetia Spirit
