What are some signs that a person is possessed and not just mentally ill?

Or can mentally ill people be more likely to be possessed? Can a person be both mentally ill and possessed?
What should be really obvious signs that separates possession from mental illness?

I’m not really sure; I can see why one would think that though (I’m diagnosed with ASD, depression, anxiety and ADHD among other things). I think anyone can be possessed.

Yes.

Well, I’m not a doctor, but I think that depends on what the person is like when they’re having ā€œepisodesā€. For instance, if someone acts a certain way during their ā€œepisodesā€, then it should come off as alarming that they would act differently during one, especially if it doesn’t happen consistently enough.

The most distinctive sign of possession from anything else is KNOWLEDGE OF THINGS NOT KNOWN. Is a meth head with a GED you’ve never met alternately blaspheming in fluent Aramaic, reciting your deepest secrets and most cherished memories detail for detail, and giving lat long coordinates of undiscovered archaelogical ruins and corpses of missing persons from decades old cold cases? That shit ain’t caused by BPD.

Hmm the other day i poked at a close friend who doesnt know i do magick, the energy shifted drastically snd i instantly noticed the energy as malevolent. I poked st its heart chakra where i felt the shift and her eyes widened and said ā€œfucking stop or i will kick your teeth out magiā€ so i pulled the energy towards the throat chakra and it said i will kill you dont pull me out… so i opened her mouth and looked in it and said ā€œeko eko deformumā€ (hey, hi ugly) i read an exorcism prayer and she went bezerk then i was able to pull the spirit out of her… she knows i do magick now and her outlook on things is drastically changed

If they speak Latin…

In all seriousness, I think the mentally ill are definitely battling some weaker form of possession overall, especially people with personality disorders.

Some tell-tale signs aside from those mentioned are brute strength and a penchant for violence. I’ve watched a relative punch and shatter thick layers of glass with their bare hands without batting an eye. The disturbing part was that he didn’t have a scratch on him.

I can testify that it“s possible for a person to be possessed while being mentally ill. I have experienced it myself and if I remember correctly, it was in the beginning of my path where I started to work with the death gods and spirits of the dead. Aka necromantic practises.

Omg

How did u banish the spirit and protect yourself against it?
Can a possessed person get rid of the spirit himself or should they get others involved?

Every weak individual that don’t know how to protect themself can get possessed, but the presence of depression and other negative emotions that most mentally ill people have drastically increases their likelihood of getting possessed. Having a powerful aura also plays a big role in protection from unwanted possession, it’s very damn hard for weak entities to possess a person that has a powerful aura. And having a powerful and protective deity’s blessings can also save us from uncountable astral attacks and unwanted possessions.

It’s possible to be both mentally ill and possessed at the same time and the entity that’s possessing the person can worsen their mental health.

Some obvious signs of possession are -
Levitation
Superhuman strength
Speaking the languages that the person never knew
A ā€˜sudden’ ability to read minds
Predicting future, especially about harmful stuff
Knowing the things that happened behind their back.

Having scratches on one’s body, especially on the back where their hands can’t even reach is a big sign that something/someone is attacking them and most people (especially atheists) ignore it. These type of attacks should be a clear sign that an entity is hurting them and the whole situation can soon turn into an unwanted possession.

A possessed person can’t get rid of the spirit(s) on their own, most of the time, because if the person was strong enough to exorcise a spirit then s/he wouldn’t get possessed in the first place. A possessed person should definitely get others involved, especially powerful astral beings.

I manipulated its energy out of her mouth, i realized i could pull it out when it told me ā€œdont pull me outā€ keep in mind i work with demons every day, and also do multiple cleansings everyday and have protection up the ass

I know what it is like to be possessed. Yeah, it happened to me. (No, please do not PM me asking for details. I refuse to discuss it, as it’s a very painful topic for me.)

I would tell you for giggles that it’s all about hurling pea soup, spinning heads and stabbing your vag with the cross. But it’s actually not (usually) as obvious or as interesting as that, as many of you will know.

Anyway, it’s actually quite hard to tell the difference, depending on the degree of possession. Both can go hand in hand. If there’s a possessing entity or spirit, it’ll affect your vibe, it’ll cause you to think, talk and behave in ways that aren’t congruent with who you are/your character. You’re not the same as you were pre-possession, life isn’t the same. Drastic changes happen. It’s an all-rounder mind fuck, so that can manifest as a mental disorder or illness. There’s much more I could say, but it really depends on the person and on the being, and on the circumstances. No two possessions are going to be the same.

Robert Bruce shared his own experience of being possessed if you wish to read about that. His, however, was more severe/obvious than mine, and a lot shorter in duration. Very different experiences, actually. Both - devastating anyway.

I have had ā€œexperienceā€ with possession and what happens is they enter you and you still stay the same person but you get odd cravings like for sweet or spicy foods and have urges to do certain things like head bang to heavy metal or jerk off a lot currently with Mammon i get urges to gamble and spend money on things I want but don’t need…

A transgressive, intrusive personality and an inexplicably broken body, if the person has invoked spirits and then shown them disrespect. You should be able to see which spirits are around them, because they’ll be bold in trying to make themselves known. It could have also been summoned onto them as children through abuse, especially ritual abuse.

The only thing I would say is, they aren’t always keen to make themselves known. Ime they let the person know only when there is an advantage in doing so, but then go to great lengths to hide from others or deceive them. Mostly they try to hide as much as possible. Ofc, I’m referring to malevolent beings who have malicious intent. It’s probably different for beings with an intent to aid the person in some way.

Yeah, I’ve actually never seen malevolent ones yet. Just ones which are alienated, disenfranchised protectors who are very physically violent in their nature.

It“s actually funny because my own practise dwell deep into full blown possessions(all of them). Some practises rely upon states like that. Hell, even vodoun rituals are like that and that“s what vodoun rituals are supposed to be like.

What do u mean??

Lmao that’s a quality answer right there

According to the Roman Ritual: unusual strength, speaking in languages previously unknown, psychic phenomena (telekinesis, etc), aversion to holy items.
