So I mentioned this a few days ago when I said hello. I have these really realistic dreams, from different perspectives, like up to 100 feet in the air, sometimes very close. I dont even know how to describe it. Its always very awkward after I wake up in the morning, its like “What bullshit was this?” It takes place in one area always, never more than that. Duration is maybe a few seconds up to 5 minutes in real time. I think about the places after the dreams how I may have ended up there and a few months or so later I am there and it hits me like a really bad flashback. Its somehow not easy to talk about this but I like to know if this is normal, or nothing to worry about or could be a bad sign.
Edit: I am always present in the dream, but also other people.
It sounds like you are getting premonitions. I don’t see why that would be bad, but if you work with lucid dreaming you might also start to get control, including the ability to leave the dream if you don’t like what you see.
There’s a seminar recording about lucid dreaming by Michael Raduga on youtube that we have linked here, that tells you more about lucid dreaming and how to do it. There’s also ways to trigger yourself to realize you’re dreaming so you can become lucid in the dream and take control like, noticing your hands or something also exist - and the idea is if you have control you can change what’s happening.
I fond in practice it’s very hard, so to say, fly maybe you can’t get off the ground but you can jump really well, at least to start with, and you wok it fro there to get more and more control.
Actually sometimes I am seeing myself in the scene and like hovering over it already with my dreaming self.
Good to know that its not some kind of bad thing. Its more likely to happen when I am stressed or had a few drinks the evening before the dream, I feel like.
