Logically, the offerings should be left there. but not everywhere there are similar places. since it is associated with water and mainly swamps, perhaps it is possible to leave offerings on the coast by the sea? On the other hand, the sea and oceans are La Siren’s territory.
Offerings are usually left on an altar of some kind.
Personally, I don’t keep a permanent alter, so I designate a spot in my home usually and make contact, then give the offering and leave it in that spot for at least 24 hours. My sideboard is a common place I put things.

If you don’t have a swamp near you, and only sea, search for a forest close to the sea, and you can leave your offerings there. He also accept in forest very near the rivers (where some parts are flooded). In the “techinal magickal”, if we can call it that way, they are more close to a swamp than a beach.

I leave them on the altar for a few days. For example, if it’s a glass of white rum, I eventually pour it into the soil of a plant., without depending on the spirit nature-element( Papa Legba, Mamam Briggitte, Baron Samedi, Simbi, etc)
