Using your own fluids in a Sour Jar spell

I’ve heard mixed things about using your own fluids (ie urine and spit) in things like Sour Jars. What are the actual pros and cons? Am I in someway binding myself to this person? I think it would make it more personal so possibly more powerful. I feel like my intuition is telling me to use them, but I’ve heard enough naysayers I’m torn.

I think that’s all you need. That’s how it works for you so go for it.

For myself, I wouldn’t just because I think I’m amazing and this is a SOUR jar, and I don’t want to sweeten it with my super duper, stellar self lol. If it was a honey jar I might put blood in it though, because then I want that link to me to be strong.

It depends.

Traditionally, urine and period blood were seen as waste. The body naturally expulse it (same for sperm) so it becomes gross. Period blood is seen as a symbol of divine feminine in 2024 but in all tradition it was more like the opposite way (followed by purification)

One again, it depends on how you see things. When you pee on your neighbour’s cars, it’s very rarely a sign you like him ahaha.

I feel similarly about myself, but I think it’s the intention with it, you know. Like one of the oldest/simplest curses involves spitting with intent/hate/malice/whatever. But that’s why I wouldn’t be able to use ACV if I went the vinegar route, from herbalism I know how healing and good ACV is.

I know period blood is a very powerful ingredient in things like obsession/love spells. Now I kind of want to add some, I think the target being super into me would be amusing, all things considered.
