Use of godnames

There are certain books such as Master book of Psalms by Jean Kent or the 6th and 7th book of Moses that attribute certain godnames to certain psalms. There are also certain godnames in the LBRP, some attributed to certain sephira in the tree of life and certain planets (they can be found in Jacobus Swart’s Sacred Book of Names). What are some uses for these god-names? I know there is a version of the Bible called the Names of God Bible that will replace any mention of “Lord” or other like-titles in a bible verse with specific Godnames.

They seem to represent forces rather than beings, same as the angelic names. So you invoke them to bring that force into your life, and/or direct that energy into a situation.

E.g. Raphael means “Healing of God”, so you are invoking healing by using that name.

Is this more or less simple than chanting or meditating on a specific godname?

We have a tutorial for how to invoke here actually:

Personally I use a combination of intention and breathwork - I breathe in the entity or force and allow myself to feel that merging with my own energy system.

Chanting by itself, without using your mind to intentionally direct the energy doesn’t do much.

Intention is everything.

There is a Gallery of Magick book called The 72 Sigils of Power that uses three bible verses to obtain combinations of letters for hidden names of the jewish god.

In his OAA Discourses, EA Koetting has the student vibrate several god names to get a feel for how their energy moves and affects the environment. If you want to know what the names can be used for, vibrate them yourself and let the energy of each name show you.
