Well it depends on who you chose to petition to. If it’s a Planetary/Olympic spirit it’s better to care for days and hours. The rest of the time, it’s mostly a symbolic choice to use the days.

So maybe I am a bit too late to this post,
However, I would like to clarify something on the creation of intents, since I have started a new fresh start with all the deities I work with.
How do you decide to either burn the request or keep it hidden until it manifests.
Because I once heard that for a request to work it has to be released into the astral realm by the burning method or releasing it in the river and allowing it to dissolve and float away.
But again, I am now reading, that it’s possible as well to place the request on their altar until it manifests.
So how does one actually decide???

It’s your personal choice, but i you have difficulty letting go of the desire, then burning the petition will with releasing it. Leaving it on an altar can be triggering if the petition is for something important becasue it will remain within yout mind.

Hiya! I’m sorry for bumping an old thread but I read almost all replies here and didn’t want to make another similar thread. I thought it would be helpful if another newbie come and read the reply. I’m just starting out and trying the simplest spell first. I have questions.
- When doing the petition, does it matter what name I use? Like if I have another name but my target knew me by another name, can I use that name?
- If I have never done any evocations, will Duke hear my petition? How about signs? Will I know it? I’m still practicing meditations and being in a trance so I’m not sure if I will know it.
- I have like 5 different wishes I want to include in the petitions. It’s all in for the Duke though. Should I include them all or separate them?
- I did not burn the petition, I just put them in a glass jar and hide it in my closet. Will Duke still be able to receive my petition? Can I burn them on a different day or should I make a new petition and burn them?

I’ve never done any evocations, and my petition was literally the first thing I’ve done involving a spirit. I’m not sure if you can count on any visible signs, though. You’ll either get what you want within the specified timeframe or you won’t; the process is so simple that there’s no reason to worry.
My instinct tells me it’s better to start with something simple instead of an entire shopping list, but nothing in the ritual description outright prevents it.
Again, it’s the instinct — but the more meaning you can put into the ceremony, the better. Burning or burying it works, because it makes the petition a symbolic offering, destroying it physically and transferring it into another world. Leaving it on the altar works, because it’s another proven way to offer things to the gods.
When you put it in the closet, do you offer anything? No. You’re hiding the petition.
I’m new here , but how do I know which demon or entity to petition to?

How can you get rid of blocks from emotional spiritual or other blockage from interfering with the petition and also outside interference from other spirits towards the petition also and what entities should I petition to to help with any manifestation spells such as petitions. If you know what trying to say please chime in to help

What I’m trying to get at is what entity can help with blockages of any kind so I can still have great results with magick. Any spirit to call or petition to for this .. sorry for the confusion
