So I decided (for the 5th time) to try and search for my birth parents again. I was adopted from Ukraine, so it’s alittle more tricky then finding birth parents from the same country. Legal stuff, and all that.
I do know alittle about my birth parents from my last go round, and just as I hoped neither of them have any form of communication (aka access to phones etc). The guy (who had connections in Ukraine, lawyer) did find out that both are still alive but not any better off. Father is a miner and, my mother did move a bit. They split I guess. Neither have phones. Although I guess the father stayed in the same area, but the mother moved. I was really hoping to be able to contact my birth mother, but it sounded like it would be more difficult to contact her (since she apparently moved to more Russian controlled areas of Ukraine)… And pricy. Plus if I wanted lasting communication, they’d need to have phones and a translator, or a mail box… I’m always open to sending letters…
The lawyer was graceful enough to give that information for free, but as I said it’s all pricy if I want more information. Which I do.
So I’m thinking besides all the mudane things I’ll need to do, I could add a little support magically. Particularly in putting the any possible future costs down (so the search is more doable) and obviously in finding them. As well as contact. I already tried ALL the online stuff I could, neither of my birth parents have records online - either because the English translation of their names are wrong or because they simply never had an online presence due to being very poor.
Any tips or ideas on what I could do magically or otherwise? Would I have any sorta energy connection to them I could use (since their biological parents?) To make finding them easier?

I don’t know about 23andMe but ancestry is practically a social network where people are passionate about putting together family trees, some a borderline obsessive.
Hmm, yeah. I was thinking of that. It would have to be something more close to “home”.
23andme, and even those others probably won’t get me far. From what I know about my bio parents, they have no cellphones and probably no other real ways to get into the internet. So I doubt id find them through anything online. Would need to be more in person, or something.
Plus since my parents were orphans too (from the same Orphanage as me, so maybe I could use that) I doubt they know any family either. Or anyone knows them (like anyone blood related)
If you know the names of the towns, someone in thst town or the nearest town to them has internet and a phone. It would be easy or efficient, but if you did work for money, you could pay for someone to locate them and give them a message personally. Someone from the orphanage, from the only shop in town where they could buy and sell goods etc.
Think real old school, before the internet and postal services existed.
I can do the money part, it’s just as with my experience with Ukraine… Basically the more money you give the more information they’ll willing to give/etc. Was the case with my own adoption lol. Least from my adoptive parents views.
I do have alot of documents, and did consider that. However the area my parents came from might not be any better off either - was known for being a poor area and alcohol abuse (which unfortunately my bio parents were drinkers) + short life span due to the drinking and living conditions.
The issue with the documents are, I’m guessing there’s alot of small translation errors. From Ukrainian to English
I was thinking I could (once locating them) could buy them cheap phones or something (probably cheaper where they are) and that would aid in communication.
I was also thinking the Ukrainian Consulate near me, might help. Or the embassy, but Consulate might be easier to get through, however that could get more costly.
That’s probably what I’ll do. Find a local near where my father is located, then contact him… And soon enough with his help (basically ask him about my mother’s whereabouts) find my mother… Something like that…
