To enter a pact with a demon, do I have to give up my Deity?

I am looking to get in a pact with either Dantalion, King Paimon but im still on the fence 'cause , I’ve heard you have to give up on any Deities. Is that correct?

No that isn’t remotely true. In every sense, Paimon IS a deity anyway.

I work with a variety of entities and I don’t think whether humans want to call them deities" or something else is not really even relevant to them. They don’t even speak our languages why would they care what word we use?

This reminds me a bit of how in the compendium of Azazel, E.A had to banish the archangel Raphael for a pact with Azazel

Azazel specifically asked him to do that though, it’s not a general requirement, it would come up as part of the negotiations for the pact.

I’d suggest that when you cannot communicate yet, it’s too early to ask for a pact for this reason - because you can’t discuss it and if the entity doesn’t agree you have no idea why or how to fix it.
You also need to have the sensitivity to know if they signed or not. You can’t have a one-sided agreement, that’s not how agreements work.

I advise you not to do this. If an imposter or parasite appears instead of the demon you wish to communicate with, and you mistakenly make a pact with them, you will suffer. Develop your astral senses or your third eye first.

You can’t make a pact without communication. A pact is a binding agreement so you can’t just write one up will-nilly and expect the spirit to go along. We get a lot of people on this forum wanting others to tell them if their agreement was accepted and the first thing we ask is, what did the spirit say? and the response is generally, “Oh, I can’t hear them.” Why do you think a spirit will agree if you don’t ask them first. Even in the human realm, no agreement is binding without both sides signing off.

Only if the spirit in question asks for exclusivity. There are many people who still work with other entities while being in a pact, but generally it is because the demon agrees to it.
