Can you get away with having a generic candle, such as for odor control purposes? I have a candle on my bathroom counter to counteract the cat box smell, but it comes in about two dozen fragrances (pick your purpose…). I don’t use incense (for unrelated reasons).
Use ordinary objects as magical tools. Can’t have a chalice and blade? The spirits will understand if you have to substitute a water glass and butter knife. Ordinary decks of playing cards can be used for divination (my first boyfriend did this, and so does a well-known voodoo practitioner).
Don’t have a physical spell book, either. Get a flash drive, put all your magick stuff on that, and hide it VERY well (or take it with you) when not in use. (That way, if Religious Family Member “borrows” your computer, they can’t “accidentally” find it. Use a VPN if you can afford it, or at least clear your browser history often.)
