The Vision and the Voice - A handbasket to Hell?

I’m reading some of the tabs I have open from various public domain sites for grimoires and such. One has a Thelema section.

So I start reading some of the required reading, even for Magister of the Temple, and of the Magus.

I stumble upon one that says basically everyone is cursed and down is up.

So I stumble upon the Vision and the Voice, Aethyr 10. The Choronzon Evocation.

Quite frankly I understand but detest the blinds Crowley includes in his writings.

Which leads me to wonder … are Thelema students and Magi damned as well as the LHP, and perhaps even the RHP?

You first have to have a clear definition of “damnation” and then subscribe to that belief. Which probably makes you Christian and I thought you were not that?

Imo it’s the dogma of a warped view, Jesus specifically refuted the concept of both Heaven and hell, because the kingdom of god is within, and there’s no such thing.

So, no.

I’m still on the fence, largely due to dominant family members. One half Baptists and the other atheists.

Hoodoo and Druidism actually hold more interest to me.

Crowley just seems hell bent on leading innocent seekers down the wrong path.

It was his way of separating the wheat from the chaff. His antics and what was embellished about them was another way. He was definitely of the old school thinking where only initiates of secret societies should have been allowed any secrets. He certainly didn’t feel that they should be out in the open for anyone to learn. I am not saying I agree with it. It was just his way. He was born in 1875 at the height of the Victorian Era and his ways and thoughts were definitely skewed by it.

I could agree with Crowley on that.

In the introduction to The Golden Dawn, Regardie made all the SM info available for all to know, but did warn two things, one, for the undisciplined or fame seekers it’s too dangerous to possess, and two, until you are an Adept you leave Enochian strictly alone.

Not sure why, but Crowley was pissed that the Hebrew alphabet itself was leaked to the public.

Within the past few days, people get creeped out by my occult stories and the fact I have occult books in the first place. They give me Bible’s and other New Testament books.

I don’t mind, because I was raised a Christian and so I have some belief system ingrained into my brain cells. I know popular reasons for the apologoletics movement and literature. I was baptized once by LDS, twice by Baptist churches, once by a ND church.

But there were also traumas and occult experiences that I fell into experiencing. Some traumas in the Churches.

Some traumas in the occult, and two fraternities I experienced beimg thrust through the ritual initiations. Almost Freemasons as well.

Yet past life readings confirmed a woman I was in one life, another a Japanese swordsman, another a druid murdered by a quest for power, several bit one was also in Inquisition days and possibly a witch.

So, when I read Crowley’s document on the abyss between the Magister of the Temple and the Magus, and it being a trap, it lost its lure. Builders of the Adytum may be my speed after all.

Crowley enjoys his smugness hiding behind the blinds here and there. My impression. Yet it concerns me, that others may fail due to not having the blinds pointed out.

The relation of all that is that Enochian is fairly complex, and if blinds cause a fall, how much greater failing through an Aethyr?
