The Kundalini Research Project is attempting to create a safe and reliable way to awaken Kundalini. Does anyone else seek the same?

The Kundalini Research Project recommends practicing alternate nostril breathing until breath flows equally through both nostrils. Most people don’t realize that they usually breathe more through one nostril or the other. Balancing your breath flow is supposed to balance other parts of the body deeper in as well, like blood flow.

Some people have very difficult Kundalini awakenings, and doing this balancing work in advance is supposed to prevent this. Kundalini balances the body, sometimes forcefully, but if it is already balanced, then there is no need for Kundalini to be forceful and things go more smoothly.

So I have 2 questions.

  1. Are there other techniques that can help people balance themselves so that their Kundalini awakening is smoother?

  2. Are there any people or groups out there who also seek to detail a path by which many more people can safely and reliably awaken their Kundalinis?

Completing the kundalini can be done safely and smoothly through utilizing Chinese qi gong techniques rather than the traditional yogic methods.

The only real prerequisite for the energy circuit is having a fully relaxed body and mind. See Path Notes of an American Ninja Master for details on how to accomplish this. The author took dozens of his marital arts students through the kundalini without any danger.

Yes, try the “microcosmic orbit” in qigong, which qigong practitioners feel is much safer and gently expands and strengthens the energy to handle larger amounts of energy, under your control, over time.

Look up the work of Robert Bruce and his website. He explains it in a way that’s more accessible for westerners.
