If it isnt a curse, last month was Medusa month, this is Morrigan month + astro events + mercury retrograde.
It is the BEST choice, in my opinion. The tattoo shop I visited had a strict “no piercing guns” policy, they did it like they pierced every other body part
Oh and then on top of everything, a shift is about to happen. Many big changes + the energy of the month.
Um…there is this thing called the adaptation response. After a short amount of time, your brain filters out the noise once it realises it isn’t a threat. It’s why the humming of your refrigerator doesn’t disturb you every time it turns on, but it will disturb you if something goes wrong and the sound changes in pitch. It’s also why it is sometimes difficult to sleep in a new place, because your brain has adapted to the sounds of your environment and when those sounds are removed, the unfamiliar keeps your brain on high alert.
Wearing a bell would cease to be an issue after a day or two.
The hollow needle was quite painless. Though going out drinking 2 hours later may not have been the best idea…
Mine got infected almost the same day I got them
Mine never did…Though my ears were sore from playing with the earrings while drunk. Also, I took one out too early and promptly lost it…
Ah, I thankfully lost mine, too. My first and last pair of earrings where ladybugs and I lost one in Kindergarten. No earrings ever since (although my parents tried to lure me into a jewellery shop for that reason every so often)
I rather like earrings…Though I think I’ve lost at least half of the ones I’ve had in the 10 or so years I’ve actually had pierced ears Also some of them have been repurposed to sword fittings
I probably would have liked them too, if I…dunno, kinda had a choice or something
But now my earlobes are scandalously nude But I like to look at them when other people are wearing earrings
It won’t. Because it depends on the stimuli. The mammals brains are not used to hear the same sound on a constant and loud manner. Therefore, when people enter a room with total silence, in which you can only hear your heart beat, you don’t get used to it.
You are simplifying a complex matter.
But if you are so sure, I dare you to hang a bell 24/7 over your neck for a month, and be honest with the report, as well as having some medical checks.
I believe I’ve read that in the US it’s even legal to declaw your cat… how sick is that. I’m sure the veterinarians who carry out those surgical procedures will claim there’s nothing wrong with that neither.
There are still vets around here who don’t see a problem in cutting off a dogs tail for aesthetic reasons…like, one of their main sources to communicate with their co-dogs
Tmw you look at the title of this thread and wonder who the hell is Karen.
That one, right here.
It’s illegal here but still happens, especially with amstaff. People suck.
They do it mostly on Doberman and Rottweiler, here. I can see why they cut away parts of their ears because esp. with the Doberman the tissue gets too thin and brittle there and is exposed to heat and cold alike too much but I don’t get the tail thing
I think because they think it looks badass. It’s often done in breeds used in dog fights to prevent injuries. They do it to pigs too. So they can’t chew on each other’s tails.
The fuckers. There, I feel better. God-damned human race. There, I feel better.
