Spiritual meaning of grim reaper/dream of grim reaper/death?

So recently I had an interesting dream that came to me. I’m not sure if it had any significant meaning or was an actual spirit, it was hard to tell, but if anyone has any interpretations or ideas on what it could be or have meant, or if it means anything may happen soon, I’d appreciate hearing about it.

Basically in this dream I was sleeping in my bed the same way I was sleeping in it irl, I looked to my side and suddenly I see the grim reaper. He has a dark greyish/black cloak/hood and a skull for a face, holding a large knife type thing. At first I was sort of intimidated because well, I have a small fear of the way human skeletons look lol. He just kept staring at me and said nothing, and then sat next to me in front of me on my bed as I sat up to look at him. Then I noticed he had golden colored eyes, which I thought was an interesting feature. Again he said nothing at all, just kept staring at me. And then my dream ended.

I’m unsure if it actually held any significance, but also this is the only time I’ve ever had a dream about a figure of death/the grim reaper.

Beleth. It could be a number of other spirits though. But Beleth is associated with the 13. Colors like Gold and other certain colors like Sky Blue/Blue are associated with Heaven or what is considered a Positive Realm.

I want ask some gods of death, about it back when I channel more dead folks I would feel very close to death on a engeric level because of all the channeling

For me, I usually find the golden eyes indicate whatever species the Angelics are.

Death can also mean significant life change, the shredding of old energy to make way for the new. If you look up the meaning of the Death Tarot card you’ll see that idea in play.

The skeletons may be an impression coming out of the associations with changes that get rid of things, maybe including unnecessary junk from your life. “Bare-bones” And getting back to basics, to focus on building foundations. The skeleton is not about death, although it’s exposed when flesh is gone, we couldn’t function without it and having strong bones is vital.

So I read this as an offer to work with you to manifest desired life changes.

I met many of these types of entities while pathworking Necromantic Sorcery/Saturnian Necromancy. Sometimes they would try to scare me by telling me death was imminent. One time I met several simultaneously and was very confused as I still thought there was only one “grim reaper”. They told me they represent many different kinds of death as there are many different kinds of death. In my experience they represent or bring the death of the old self.

So to all of you curious I found out the reason why he visited me. Someone had attempted to curse my health and he showed up because of that basically the day before the symptoms of the curse started. I got rid of it thankfully and hopefully they will regret trying to do such a thing to someone.

The Grim Reaper I Dreams Can Be Interpreted As Follows.

  • Transformation and Change:

The most common interpretation is that the Grim Reaper signifies a major life transition, like a career change, relationship ending, or personal growth phase.

  • Facing Fears:

Depending on the dream’s context, it could also represent confronting a fear or anxiety about the unknown.

  • Mortality Awareness:

Seeing the Grim Reaper can be a reminder of your own mortality and the importance of living life to the fullest.

  • Positive Interpretation:

In some cases, it could even be seen as a positive sign, signifying a new beginning or a period of rebirth after letting go of something old.

Factors to consider when interpreting your dream:

  • Emotions in the dream:

How did you feel when you saw the Grim Reaper? Were you scared, curious, or accepting?

  • The Grim Reaper’s actions:

What was the reaper doing in the dream? Was it approaching you, standing still, or simply observing?

  • Context of your life:

Are you currently going through a major life change or experiencing significant stress in your waking life?

So i would start recording the details of following dreams and see if the themes and emotions contained within them are reoccurring. Then you can decipher a more accurate meaning.

On that topic I’ve had quite a few runs in with a death-like entities myself recently.

The first one is about making an altar for them, full of skulls and bones and obsidian and iron sickle and so on, the liking of this spirit seem really specifics and to match well with me but if I let the thought wander more I’d basically turn my whole room into a cemetery filled with bones and grave dirt and black salt, since it doesn’t reveal itself besides showing some ravens I think it might be a negative entity? Might as well be Saturn or Morrigan for all I know.
A few days later I get a mind’s eye vision before sleep of Hades from that Disney movie talking to me in comical style.

Then a few days later a half-lucid dream of being in a night world, let to a stone altar in the middle of an open temple with a lot of faceless black robbed worshippers standing in circles around it with some flame torches and a figure approaching and brandishing a knife to stab me like a sacrifice?
Then once again a few days after that, suddenly in mind eye while meditating, pretty realistic and feminine, a grim reaper type entity with a half-disk behind her head appearing in different looks and styles, always with a black robe, but either with gold or blood red colored accents for her skull mask or the robe or the disk, first time I considered the reaper itself could be so beautiful.

I tried looking up Santa Muerte since then but I don’t think much happened, only another lucid dream in which a shadow entity was in my room and started getting close, when I put my hand against her face the shadow retreated sort of like mist to reveal a black-skull that I directly felt, it’s curve and hardness, she said something like “My Honey” and I woke up.

I honestly enjoy death-like themes a lot but first I’m affraid it might be negative spirits fucking with me and using it as an excuse to gain more energies from me, second I don’t really concern myself with curse workings which seem to be their primary thing with divination and third I’m not living alone so even if I wanted to build something like an altar for them I would be interned for getting a real shrunken head with grave dirt and a goddam Nazgul-looking statue.
Bonus point tho Santa Muerte seem really easy to work with, she has A LOT of written rituals to petition for almost anything you could imagine and from what I’ve read she does work really fast so I’m still considering her.
