I have noticed that the things in my culture match too much with magick for example my grandmother died yesterday and we had to burn her corpse
THEY LITERALLY USED VOODOO for some part of the ritual
The person who does the ritual (my dad) has to cut of all hair and not touch any one for 13 days as he had to burn his own mother so it’s bad karma for himself and it will take 13 days for him to get purified in that time he can never be alone and he has to sleep with a metal athame under his bed

Well it’s only been in the last 100-ish yeas in the West since the industrial evolution and the rise of “science” that magick got a bad rap. Before that all cultures lived side by side with magick as a normal thing.

I thing there were really good spiritual practices that were healthy that got put to the side because of this, including a death rites that helped the deceased cross healthily and not become a ghost. “Modern” society doesn’t believe in ghosts now so these people are left to fend for themselves, and there’s not protections added for the living to avoid attracting them back or to help them grieve.

I personally also keep iron under my bed as part of my wards, permanently. It disrupts the electromagnetic energies of spirits so they don’t bother me when I sleep. Also called a “ward” in the west, but this one is more magnetic and just works without having to do anything intentional.

I mention it from time to time - e.g. here:

Tbh even in our religion it is considered to be evil but when the ritual was happening I could feel HUMONGOUS amounts of celestial type energy from the ritual itself and this happened today itself

Though I feel like I have lost my empathy except for one or two tears I literally couldnt fell anything even though I loved my grandmother dearly

That makes sense to me. I think over time as the reasoning behind have been lost and there are fewer elders that can explain, people err of the side of protection. Many cultures see a risk in the dead haunting people and places and take steps to avoid it. The Chinese call the restless dead “hungry ghosts” because they seek out and feed energetically on humans. Even modern psychiatry can find people changing personality after a hospital visit, as in the West the incredibly poor death transition practices make hospitals full of ghosts looking for recognition and help, and they can attach to people visiting for non-lethal reasons, sometimes affecting them negatively, such as giving then the ghosts prior addictions. (ref: The Unquiet Dead book)

So with risk of the restless dead causing issues, rituals help with both the grieving process and letting them rest, so they are less likely to be called back by mourners and less likely to need to come back.

I see… That makes quite a lot of sense
This is normally not explained to me by my parents
Umm you got anything to get rid of ghosts? I dunno but after seeing one person at the burning place I feel extremely uneasy and scared of the dark
Which is not usual for me

Yes. There’s an art of the “psychopomp” where you can walk the dead to the other side, but that can take a little learning, and quite often you can just treat them as the people they are and talk to them, as them to leave and generally, they will.

Most people are decent and don’t want to stay where they are not wanted. They might not know where to go or what to do though, as our cultures no longer teach us that in life, and that’s where the psychopomping comes in.

I have a bad feeling that I met someone quite negative at the grounds (dead) and have a feeling so I divined it using the easiet method available
Yup I got haunted!
Sooo I kinda need something that works quick maybe a chant or a mantra

“Spirit that is haunting, me, please go away.”

if you know name or title who haunted you say : “In the Power of the Names Zebaoth, Theos, Yschyres, Messias, Imas, Weghaymnko, Quoheos, Roveym, Christoze, Abay, Xewefaraym and Agla, I command Thee, thou spirit force( His Name ) , to depart forth with from this place, being ever ready, and willing to return at my summoning. Peace be with you. Amen.

I actually don’t due to the fact that I might be catching strays due to some idiot who I am quite sure messed up the final death ceremony and I got caught up in it :sweat_smile::no_mouth::no_mouth:

oh ok , if you don’t know the name , you should write it in a small paper , then fold paper to smallest square shape and tie it with black thread until covered fully , then wear it as necklace around you neck

Nope ain’t gonna work it’s quite hardy
Did a cleansing
Did a basic ghost expelling ritual
Did some other stuff to
But this damn spirit won’t leave me the hell alone

In my opinion then, if you’ve done that, if you’ve met them and offered to escort them across, and he/she didn’t respect your wishes and refused to pass on or leave you alone, then you’ve done all you can on the nice-guy side, they’ve had fair warning and it’s time to take the gloves off.

You can use any of the same techniques you use on astral parasites to attack them, and that usually makes them run away. Unlike parasites, ghosts don’t tend to come back after a fight. But you basically try to kill him, make sure he knows that and that if he stays around he’s going to be forced to die the 2nd death the hard way.

Alright
Will do as you say
I have communed with the spirit it refuses to answer and it has been adamant on not leaving me alone
Going with the full force route
