Then it sounds like you won’t have anyone to work with. If you want to place mortal moral restrictions on a deity or similar, then it’s not going to go your way. Do you blame them for letting other things continue that are just as reprehensible?
Personally, I think it’s enough that they act when we ask them to. They’re here to be as they are, not enforce some moral code that changes per civilization.
Shadow self and evil side are not the same thing. Shadow self is the part of us that is repressed and could be “positive” things, too. Self-sabotage due to the fear of success is an example of that.
